The AEA .30 shot just like the JTS .30 in my Skout with 35” barrel. The weights are very close not being .1 grain over or under (unlike my recent JSB expedience)

I have shot both the 25” and 35” in .30 cal. From my experience the 35” in .30 is a tamer gun. It uses less air than a 25” barrel for any given speed. It has less recoil and is much quieter. I found the 35” in .30 cal to be more enjoyable to shoot than the 25”.

Seems OK.

Update: I sized a whole tin and found a few pellets with 7.62 head size. The skirts where still out there. Shame on me for trying them in my Maverick. After 8 shots the breach seal blew.

Tonyfl Skout Epoch and FX Maverick

Just a heads up about Tremor pellets in .30 cal from Tonyfl. Last week I purchased 4 tins of the flat head Tremor .30 cal pellets. The heads measure 7.72-7.74mm with skirts measuring 7.88-7.9mm. They barely fit in the magazine. I thought my cocking lever was going to break. Don't break yours...

Out of the box - Benjamin Marauder is one of the quietest at the muzzle. Add an internal regulator or aftermarket de-pinger and the ping goes away.

This is a cool addition! While in my opinion the stock mod is ok on the 35” barrel, this will be a huge benefit for the 25” barrel. I’ll still add one to my 35“ barrel to make it that much quieter.

Once they get fixed a few times, they are powerful and accurate.

I love my Skout Epoch in .30. As mentioned, super easy to tune and seems well built. IMO it might be a little heavy to hunt with (unless you’re using shooting sticks) and it is more accurate with pellets than slugs. But from what I understand, slug liners will be coming.

I'm all in now. I have the Epoch in .30 with the 35" barrel. I was just out shooting steel spinners in the backyard at 52 yards with a slight breeze. I wasn't just hitting the steel spinners, but choosing where on the spinners it would hit. So I decided to put 4 shots on paper. .30 cal pellet...

For once in my life, my timing was great. I just got my rifle back last week. And it was my best ever service experience with FX. Go figure. I hope it all gets sorted out soon, I would imagine there are many in your unfortunate position.
