    Thanks for all the tips. The bend is very slight. I didn’t really notice it and I believe it’s up close to breech block. At this point I’ve got nothing to lose and I own a vice - let the games begin!! I’ll report back……

    Reidy, That’s exactly what happened. It flipped closed and locked. I’m looking at it now and it does appear the barrel has a slight upward angle. Is there any way this can be repaired? Appreciate the information, never would have detected this. Thanks.
