There is a pretty good writeup on indexing the barrel on fx rifles located here But when it comes to actually shooting the groups, I was forgetting which group went with which barrel position, so I created a target just for indexing.

I was working on indexing my Impact mkII last weekend and kept forgetting which group went with which index on my barrel, so I created a target to use while indexing. I print it at 8.5x11 and set it out at 50yds.

It seems to shoot relatively well ... it groups even better with the 15.89 grain JSB Exact Jumbo (and Hades) pellets. After nearly 1000 rounds through it, the bolt isn't nearly as horrible as it was initially. And it shoots over 150 rounds before needing air (when filled to 4500psi)!

Man, I had similar experience with my .35 MKII ... In fact, I still haven't managed to get it to shoot slugs with any kind of reasonable accuracy (and there is no alternate liner for the .35). When I finally gave up on the slugs and went back to 81g pellets, I wasn't able to get sub-MOA at 100...

If all you are using the rangefinder for is measuring distances, then use whatever you have available. They are all the same in that regard. golf vs rifle vs bow rangefinders really only differ in the software features in each rangefinder. They measure distance the same.

I’d have to say, “yes” I could shoot MOA with any PCP that has already proven to be that consistent… However, you’ll have to direct me to said table of sweet PCPs and let me have a go with each one to verify the accuracy of my claim.

Sub MOA at 100 yards ... it isn't much of a stretch to hit 150 from there. My local range has gongs set at 300 yards, which I can reliably hit with my .35
