I owned a Brocock s6 standard and several Marauders in the past. The quality of the Marauders aren't even close to a Brocock. Yes, it is loud. All you need is an aftermarket LDC and it is quieter than a Marauder. can't comment on a Gamo as I have never own their gun.

I am pretty sure he is referring to the shroud and not the LDC. You will need a LDC to screw at the end of shroud hence the "thread protector".
