Sheridan Anyone have a tip to mount the rear sight on an oldish Blue Streak?

Some folks spread the space between 'legs' to ease installation as it doesn't take much bite to keep the sight in place. I've done this on a couple of the newer Streaks - seems like I opened the space by .030".

N/A Looking for Crosman 451 technical info

A quick search for "Crosman 451 repair manual" brought this on the Bay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/371486951365 Seems like a huge undertaking to replicate this design which has some odd features, notably the 'turret' magazine. The main valve/operating block has a bunch of complex machining. As...

Yong Heng compressor what am i doing wrong

That's interesting. If you check page 28 of the manual at pilkguns, it has an added sentence after "...close again after about one minute.": >> "The intermediate pressure should be released on the adaptor with the release screw." Apparently at some point, the adaptor was built differently! "

Yong Heng compressor what am i doing wrong

The valve pin doesn't need to be depressed to fill - air pressure will force the valve to open.

Yong Heng compressor what am i doing wrong

I'm no expert on PCP guns, but this problem drew my interest, so I searched "Hammerli AP40 adaptor" and found some posts on targettalk.org from years ago with the same issue - owners noted thread damage when they tried to quickly twist the tank off of the adaptor, also pressure lost during this...

Ah, the Robert Law Custom 120X. My first German airgun was one of them, via a local classified ad in 1981. When I called Mr. Law to ask just what it was, he described his project with Richards MicroFit in producing about 200 of the special stocks, as his proudest achievement. I suspect the...

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

DevilsLuck, you're right that no "pre-charged as purchased" air cartridge has been offered with possible exception of some versions of the "AirMunition' system mentioned above. If what you had in mind was a one-use disposable cartridge, cost would likely be extremely prohibitive and the risk of...

Need help identifying Diana model air rifle

Looks to me it likely is a pre-WWII Model 25. Sometimes a date stamp appears on the butt end, or under the barrel visible when cocking. A little info, from Danny Garvin's VintageAirgunsGallery: https://forum.vintageairgunsgallery.com/pre-war-diana-air-rifles/diana-model-25/ The Karl Bock name...

Crosman Crosman 150 barrels or 157 barrels any interchangable models for installing longer barrel?

You might consider just getting a 180 or 187 - they're nice carbine-size guns with similar innards to the pistols. Because the barrel is not really removable from the 'breech' on 150's, you'd need to cut off the original barrel, then bore out to fit a new barrel. Long ago a friend of mine did...

    2024 Midwest Airgun Show date?

Unlike commercial gun shows, I haven't seen Beanie Babies, beef jerky, lab glassware, etc. at the airgun shows I've been to for lots of years. But one time Dave Schwesinger had Victorinox paring knives for cheap, and I still use mine every day.

Romanian surplus airrifles for under $50

These UMC Pioneer rifles were offered by an importer 20+ years ago for around $10 but as I recall if you bought enough the price was $2.50 each. At the time they became jokingly known as "tomato stake guns" because they were cheap enough to prop up garden plants. A copy of the Diana 15, if you...

What was the first semi automatic pellet gun?

True semi-auto air rifles were made in the 30's and 40's (maybe continuing later). MacGlashan had one, ABT had a couple versions of their Air-O-Matic. These were hose-fed carnival or arcade guns, thus not portable for field use, but mechanically they definitely qualify. Don R.

The guy over on AA has 2 guns

    Hey Willy, if it's 'Mark' with a Benji 397 and a 347, model number tells it's .177 - and his Winchester break-barrel at 1200 feet/second sure isn't a .22! Don R.

    Other Slavia 622

From your photo it looks like the rod could be spinning within the piston head, or the head+rod could be rotating with respect to the piston body. If it's the former, one solution would be to drill a cross hole through piston and rod, then insert a press-fit pin to maintain orientation. If the...

    N/A Hickory NC airgun show

Beerthief, sad to say your D60 has the infamous early synthetic seals that eventually turn to crumbly cheese. You may see particles of this stuff left in the bore. Modern replacement seals don't have the problem. Don R.
