A Trigger the Nova Freedom (and related Vista repeaters) Deserve

By the way, Mr. Boat, for what it's worth... I'd like to say that I regret the sour tone our exchange has taken and I apologize for my contribution to that unfortunate downward spiral. I'm no stranger to providing free information on these forums and having it not always received in the way I...

A Trigger the Nova Freedom (and related Vista repeaters) Deserve

Thanks. Actually a before/after comparison of pull weights: (4lbs vs 2lbs 5oz) is already in my original post. But it is kind of buried and i apologize if that made it hard to find. But just as (or even more) important than lighter weight is the reduction in creep, which can be adjusted to...

A Trigger the Nova Freedom (and related Vista repeaters) Deserve

Yup. There it is again. Just as in the AGW thread, you have the sequence of operation completely backwards. The facts are that the mechanical ratios are such that the rearmost screw must touch first, making the 1st stage, then the more forward screw touches last, making the 2nd stage. This...

Thanks, Michael. Good advice. Refraining from bickering is always a good idea, and always easier when the topic is airguns rather than personal invective.

A Trigger the Nova Freedom (and related Vista repeaters) Deserve

Well, please compare the file date on the photo of my modified trigger that I included in my posts (3/15/19), to the date of that thread on AGW (3/24/19) when you provided your "free info.". Maybe you'll find that easier than comparing adjustment procedures.

    Thanks for proving my point.

Information you gave? Do you mean your "three stage" absurdity? If so, then yes. My design was complete, tested, and working before I started the original AGW thread, and you are missing -- quite a bit. For starters, it would seem you haven't read (or understood) how this trigger is adjusted.

A Trigger the Nova Freedom (and related Vista repeaters) Deserve

The ATI Nova Freedom, when first available about a year ago, excited a lot of interest because as a self-contained PCP with multistage pump, repeating action, and shrouded barrel, it's (almost) the functional equivalent of the popular FX Independence -- but at $379 shipped, it's only 1/4th the...

SAFETY INFO FOR BENJI WILDFIRE TINKERERS

Safe access to the WiFi's internals is only possible after complete depressurization of the reservoir. Opening the WiFi is simple, safe, and easy with zero PSI in the gun, but failure to degas will result in spontaneous self-disassembly with parts scattered hither and yon. This is clearly...

AirForce Guns, Information, mods and tinkering

Thanks so much, J, for the followup and resolution of the problem! So. I can't resist asking: How do you like the trigger now, with the Super installed and how does it compare with the factory version? PS: It's worth mentioning that removing the breech isn't a necessary part of installing...

Sorry you're having difficulty JC. One question: Did you install the replacement Striker-Latch spring in location K as indicated in the installation guide? Failing to do so is guaranteed to create exactly the kind of problem you describe. ...

They transform the AF triggers from a simulated 2-stage to a true match-grade 2-stage action. Both pull and creep are reduced by a factor of 5 to 6, making a 4oz 1st stage and 9oz 2nd typical. I think they make accuracy easier and shooting more fun.

Spreadsheet math for predicting MVs with reduced weight pellets

The method is derived from this old model... http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/thread/1226513246 The procedure... C&P these cell entries into an Excel or similar spreadsheet (note that it may be necessary to first C&P the cells into Notepad, then transfer them to the spreadsheet)... ...

Karma in the American air gun market!

Neither was the owner of East Coast Airguns LLC It seems our anonymous Mr. "leadhead" has mentioned more names that were not involved with illegal activity than he did names that were. Was that accidental, Mr. Leadhead? Or was it intentional? If the former, perhaps you owe some people an...

AirForce Guns, Information, mods and tinkering

It's a shame that AF was so close to having a terrific safety: Automatic, Positive, De-cockable, Resettable simply by re-cocking, and so Light you can easily enable firing with a flick of the back of your trigger finger. They were only a flat-spot on a pin away.

AirForce Guns, Information, mods and tinkering

The design of the AF safety is of course very different depending on which "generation" of Talon/Condor you own, but it sounds like you have the older, non-resettable version that, in addition to being obnoxiously heavy, frequently develops the incredibly dangerous defect of firing the gun...

    FX Warranty?

The relevant question remains: If the original poster had referred his problem to the selling dealer instead of to AoA - as the warranty he quotes from his FX Owner's Manual specifies - who would have then picked up the tab for the labor of the repair - him, or PA&S? Also outstanding is the...
