Which mount do you use?

I believe I have landed on a buying a Hawke 4-16 x 44 Airmax 30 for my soon to be received TX200. Aesthetically I prefer a two piece mount. Would it be a mistake to use a two piece mount? I believe this set has a stop pin.

I am trying to make a decision on a Red Dot for my LP8. I have my eye on Hawke Sport Optics Vantage and they come in 20, 25 or 30 mm tube diameters. I am leaning toward the 25 mm. Recommendations on tube diameter to choose would be appreciated.

FSA46, Thanks! I did a search and found a good thread on another forum on the custom spring guides. BTW, I don't hear a twang on my LP8. Is there evidence that the factory spring guide does not cut the mustard? 

fsa46, Thanks and yes, I'd seen that link and captured it. Please tell me a bit more about the spring guide please. Is it the piston spring you are referring to and if so, what does the guide do for you? What is the material of construction and where do you source that?

fsa46, I really like the stock on that carbine! It is gorgeous. I have a new LP8 just out of the box and am going to polish the trigger up. Also looking to get some wood grips for it as well.
