Really sorry to hear this - it’s just a shock. Thomas and I shared many a thread on gardening and shooting tiny groups. I must admit to being curious after receiving his email and will miss his friendly ribbing. I just want to offer up prayers and comfort to his close friends. Hope to see you in...
I also shoot in basement (at least over winter) but at my age free hand is pretty much a waste of pellets. I do enjoy shooting from a bench, though. I also don't compete against other shooters, only myself. I am constantly striving for teeny little groups using my Weihrauch HW44 pistol in 177...
I agree with Randall. I was amazed at the speed of both the 22 cal and 25 cal RAWs and the accuracy. I'd suggest trying more different manufacturers pellets. Martin would probably tell you the 22 cal RAW is tuned for JSB 25 grain redesigns. I believe mine shoots around 945fps and does 3/8” to...
I've been using the wipes and the soap both for years. We use it in our clubhouse after shoots as well. Wipes can be used on guns as well. Just remember to reoil after use on guns. Great for gunpowder residue as well as lead dust from air powered arms.
I would look at Sightron ED glass or March High Master. Both are excellent ED glass and Japanese made. I used Nikon back in the day, so I understand your needs. They won't be cheap, but sharp and clear comes at a cost.
So far I agree with everything but the trigger. Mine was set to 4-5 ounces and is just the way I like it for bench target shooting. I went with the 700cc bottle and a few other additions. I also use a March High Master target scope.
