    The past & now!

All true, won't try to argue, just the same, if my Yong Heng ever gets to the point of no return, I'll replace with another. WM

    The past & now!

Think all's been said about Yong Heng, that can be said, many times over. As a newer platform, GX-CS gets more attention now as owners share tricks and tips. WM

    Regulated or Non-Regulated

Be glad to share Gauntlet story, just ask, if interested. As thread deals with regulated versus unregulated, I'll explain my preference for regulated. Pellets prefer specific air pressure pushing them for best, most consistent, accuracy. Compare the air reservoir in an unregulated airgun to...

    Regulated or Non-Regulated

JC, Not aware of an unregulated Umarex Gauntlet, regulated was one main reason I chose as first PCP. WM

    GX-E-5K1 Compressor issues

LW, Sorry to hear of these troubles, no question, Chinese Quality Control is hit or miss. Not sure what to say to those who've tried numerous compressor platforms, brands and models, all ending in disappointment. Used to write it off as operator error or sub-standard clones, now think it's...

    Compressor Safety

Question sanity of any Yong Heng owner not using hearing protection, I use same as for chainsaw. Safety goggles over glasses but switched to face shield since filling station is at eye level and I monitor airgun gauges for fill pressures. WM

    What Happened to Flintsack?

Profile states last visit was January 2024, hope all is well. Unfortunately, as an older population, health concerns are more prevalent. Thoughtful of Thomas T's family to share of his passing, wish more would do the same. Not knowing of Flintsack's situation, still consider this as an...

    Budget Compressors

Heat is a main enemy of HPA compressors, those addressing it effectively are the best value. Water, fans, low-gearing/slow fill and crankcase oil are popular heat-busting methods. The rectangular box, waterless, oil-less, quick fill, multi power, high-speed fan cooled platforms work but have...

Question on filling small SCBA tank

That's your right as an owner. OP wanted information on tank size and the GX-CS4 so figured this notice from the manufacturer might be useful. WM

    Greteefor Compressor

These rectangular box, waterless, oil-less, high-speed fill, multi-power, fan-cooled HPA compressors will work just don't expect more than a 12-18 month lifespan. Rebuilding success is rare. As stated, better off with GX-CS which uses lower gearing for slower, less heat generating operation. WM

Question on filling small SCBA tank

GX-CS recently amended advertising to reflect GX-CS4 is NOT for filling 6.8L, or higher, tanks. GX-CS5, single or twin cylinder, is recommended for 6.8L and higher. No doubt some GX-CS4 owners are still filling 6.8L, or larger, tanks, as they did before GX-CS announced the change, your choice...

N/A 10 air gun questions from a new airgunner

Most visually inspect air reservoirs for damage and blemishes, addressing, as needed. Internal corrosion, from introduced moisture, is an unseen problem that most responsible PCP owners take steps to avoid up front. Contact manufacturer for recommended replacement intervals, should any exist...

Air Venturi How often do you drain out water?

A Biohazardman-inspired Yong Heng setup. Started with ($60 eBay) long, gold M50 molecular sieve but cotton-filled black YH filter, at entrance to M50, was getting soaked. Added copper-colored water-coalescing filter ($125 eBay,) problem solved. WM

AEA Anybody know what causes this?

If unable to address a sharp edge found to cut "O" rings on install I might try wrapping a piece of paper around to protect "O" rings, then remove paper after getting past sharp edge. Wouldn't spare silicone lube on paper either. Don't think this is an original idea, just can't recall where...

    And then there is scopes....

CenterPoint 3-9x40AO, that came with Benjamin Trail NP XL, has been taking "magnum" pounding since 2018, still going strong. Budget-priced Crosman brand scope that still impresses with sight picture and clarity. Didn't care for CenterPoint 4X on Crosman F4 so replaced with 3-9x40. WM

AEA Anybody know what causes this?

Don't know the AEA HPSS but if same happened to me I'd be searching for a burr or sharp edge that shaves "O" ring as it passes during install. WM

No worries from me, either. Surmised what had happened, knew forum doesn't condone but also realized it was unintentional, so you live and learn. WM
