The scouts discovered my walnut trees

Yeh, I have a Redtail hawk(s) that gets one or two during daylight hours, especially if they are out in the open. I don't know if it doesn't see them close to the tree or shrubs around the edge, or just doesn't feel safe landing in those areas. I've seen it three times carrying off the bodies...

The scouts discovered my walnut trees

Your squirrels have no respect for us retirees. Mine are a little more respectful. They usually show up between 8 and 9:30 AM, then later in the afternoon. Well, maybe they show up earlier but I'm not there to see them. No worries, the greedy little bas darlings will return at a more convenient...

FX FX Dreamline hammer spring advice?

The hammer spring adjuster (power wheel) shown in your picture is the newer version, I believe, than the one described in your user manual. My DreamLite has the older version which has increments of 1 to 5 + MAX, on one half, and A to E + MIN on the other half. This is the version you're...

    Umarex Notos scopes used?

Same for me. Better glass, better eye relief, size and weight comparable to Bug Buster.

    Done it with pigeons.

The DRS is proving to be quite capable

I really like the look of the Classic. I’m not usually one to try and justify a purchase, but in this case I am sort of talking myself out of it. At least for now. 😁 I’m pretty satisfied with my current inventory. Availability of the carbon fiber tank, larger plenum and whatever goodies they...

    Brown headed cowbirds?

In my state, you can shoot ‘blackbirds’ which include … grackles, starlings, cowbirds, and red wing blackbirds. They all flock together at certain times of the year, numbering in the hundreds of millions. One of those times is during the fall deer season and just after sunrise you can’t hear a...

    FX "Dirty" fx stock finish

I found wiping down with household cleaning wipes, the kind in the pop-up container, leaves a nice clean, smooth, no residue feeling to FX synthetic stocks.

Grey Squirrel W/ Seneca dragonfly mkII. Distance pellet questions in .177

I don't know what extremes you'd have go to in order to eliminate ALL grays. I live in a residential suburban area and they just keep showing up, no matter how many I remove, and I'm pretty diligent. I shoot in a very narrow area of my property for safety and shots are 20-30 yds... 90+% @ 20...

Grey Squirrel W/ Seneca dragonfly mkII. Distance pellet questions in .177

If you plan to retrieve the squirrels, not just pest shooting, go for the head shot. The Dragonfly II will do it, with an appropriate scope. I’ve gotten good groups out to 50 yds. Experiment with the number of pumps, because I found going past 10 didn’t produce enough extra velocity to make it...

Yup, doesn’t solve removing the stock. Once I found my final setting I added the jam nut and buttoned it up.

    FX FX Dreamline little improvements

You could have avoided drilling for the reg. screw by backing the air tube out just enough to make the reg. visible outside the stock. The tube still seals on the o-ring and you will hardly see the gap since the threads are so fine. PLUS… if you add a plenum, you can just re-do the adjustment...

FX Any interest in a Multi Caliber SST for FX Crown/Dreamline/Maverick/DRS?

Just some random thoughts. 1. $1K - $2K guns and your trying to save a few bucks on an SSL? 2. All these guns take the same SSL (Crown, Maverick, Wildcat, Dreamline), so one in each caliber and you can swap them around freely. 3. Buying a .30 cal. multi will not guarantee no drilling to...
