Yes those linkage screws can let it slip out of adjustment. I have not loc tited mine as they just seem like they would be easy to strip when loc tited. Takes 2 min to readjust so I periodically have to do that.

I had occasional very slow speed shots on mine and I realigned the pellet probe and they disappeared. Take off the cheek piece and look in the hole to access the probe screw. That screw should be positioned front of center. Mine had moved slightly to being centered in the hole.

You need to do what Joedirt described. The big power wheel provides an adjustment range within your tune. It really in my opinion isn’t what you use to find the tune. For that you use the micro adjuster.

At least it happened in return window. I had a gen2 that was total garbage. I sold for a big loss and the buyer I think ended up keeping the barrel and circular filing the rest of the gun. I do currently have a jts that looks similarly manufactured that has been great for a year though 🤷‍♂️

That stinks!! Yong heng or gx are the only routes I would probably take for cheap compressors. Parts readily available. My gx2 is 13-14 months old still going well. When it doesn’t anymore I think the whole piston assembly can be bought for 50-60 dollars.
