Have a chance to buy one. Comes with leapers 4-16 ao scope, Atlas bipod, very nice case, assortment of pellets, air tank (needs 4000psi regulator, has 2000 on it), silencer. The gun is very nice and well cared for. No scratches. It's in .22. I don't know what it's worth though.

I know it's not a 98, but my G2 actually LOVES the 14.3 gr. Crosman Domes. After I learned to shoot it accurately, it groups very very well. Headshots are common place lol.

Have you tried the Crosman Premier 14.3 domes or the JSB Exact Heavy? My .22s shoot smooth skirts MUCH better than anything I have tried. Even the Gamo TS22 shoots well. I do not have an Octane, but we have 2 Gamo G2 Whispers and this is what they like...

Thank you for the reply. I am familiar with the hold. I currently shoot off of a set of homemade shooting sticks where I allow the gun to bare it's weight on the forearm of the rifle, pressed rearward into my shoulder. I feel that the way these guns recoil has an adverse effect on "lock time"...

Okay, all of a sudden I am bitten by the air rifle bug. I just acquired a Benjamin NPS in .177 from a friend of mine for $50!!! I do not think it is a "Trail" model, but it does have the rubber cheekpiece and "carbon fiber" stock. It came with an assortment of pellets (RWS, Gamo, Skenco... etc)...

Wow, the factory trigger is VERY over engineered in this rifle. I watched that video twice and I shook my head the whole time.

I actually like the rifle. I took the scope off of it, and sighted in the "iron" sights. Even thought the front post is big and covers up the target, at 45ish yards I'm cracking a soup can that I have nailed to a tree off hand. A better trigger coupled with the "proper" pellet would greatly...
