My auto shutoff gauge was pretty quickly shaken to death. I just did not use that gauge, and relied on the bottle gauges.

I believe they are all auto shutoff now, and auto purge is an option. I’ve had my manual W31 for 3 years now, no regrets.

I found that with the FX slug probe, the slug was partially covering the transfer port. I went back to the pellet probe.

Check to make sure your breach o-ring is in place.

You are over-driving your valve at the higher numbers. You can turn your regulator pressures up to alleviate this. Try 140/110

I figured it was a machined plug, just pressed in, but might be wrong. I can’t tell if it’s a straight plug, or has a flange towards the outside edge. If it’s a straight plug, maybe it can be flipped over to use the other side.

Sorry to hear that Joe won’t sell just the part needed. Would it be possible to grind or sand the sealing side down, just enough to get rid of the impression in the sealing surface? My inner McGuyver brain thinks it may be possible …

That lead was from the JTS pellets, JSB pellets don’t leave those long pieces, just some tiny sparkles. That was a Patchworm with the .22 bead in a .22 barrel.

I jumped from a Yong Heng to an Alkin. Had the GX C4 been available at the time, I would likely have bought that instead of the pricey Alkin. That said, I have zero regrets and feel relatively secure as far as expensive (compressed) air goes.

Sounds like a valve leak, the pellet plugs the barrel and seals the leak? I wonder if the pressure would slowly build until it spits the pellet out.

The hammer spring should be adjusted to just open the valve, plus a half turn. The hammer spring has very little effect on the velocity. Velocity is adjusted by reg pressure. In your case, the power is pre-set, and you can change velocity with ammo weight only.
