My experience is that diabolo shaped pellets can be really accurate out to 75-80 yards. Things get a bit wonky beyond 80. Maybe they destabilize slightly, maybe wind starts to really move them, etc. That experience is based on .22 25.4g and .25 25.4g pellets. This year I’m trying 100 yard...

What caliber and what pellet weight do you intend to shoot? The Crown Mk2 has I believe a 35cc plenum, so its a “mid-power” rifle. It should be able to shoot .30 44g pellets at 850fps with a 600mm barrel. That’s a popular caliber/weight for 100 yard benchrest. The Crown is not heavy...
