The slug market sure is heating up! 🔥

Freedom Press? Way overpriced! 1) No need to have such a robust press to swage lead and I venture to say most air-gunners have metallic cartridge presses already 2) the dies are way overpriced. No justification for $200 per die when you can get carbide 2-3 die sets for a fraction of the...

Any one use the CARM magazine for Avenger .22?

The OEM mag is hurting accuracy as it shaves pellets. The A.E. Swede was out when I last checked and being bigger most likely will not fit under my scope. Don't want to start changing the scope mounts so looking at CARM mags. Have heard some positive feedback, but would like to hear form...

    Avenger .22 with slugs

According to Matt Dubber and others, the Avenger barrel is really good with slugs, great news! Trying to find specifics with the slugs but coming up short. Anyone with firsthand experience using either NSA .22 slugs or FX slugs in .22 and the Avenger? Interested in weight, size, velocity...

The slug market sure is heating up! 🔥

atom: I suspect that the restrictions on firearms in your country is the prime reason for the popularity of air guns and the resulting lower cost of pellets/slugs. With the person in the white house and his henchmen in congress, we Americans will likely be catching up to you guys.

The slug market sure is heating up! 🔥

Thanks for the reply. Has anyone experience with "slug barrels" vs original barrels? It seems slugs can be found to shoot just fine in OEM barrels if one is willing to experiment and fine the right one for the barrel. I would prefer to avoid having to buy/install another barrel.

Tuning Maintenance suggestions for Avenger .22

Been shooting and enjoying the hell out of my Avenger and want to keep doing so for as long as possible. Owners manual is a bit thin on info so I'm asking seasoned shooters for help. What is suggested to extend and assure performance? I've heard put a drop of oil on chamber seals, drop of...

Looking for Avenger owner with 3d skills

I am looking for someone that can make an STL file of a bag rider for an Avenger air rifle. The rifle is capable of great accuracy but it I find it a challenge to obtain that accuracy with the contours of the stock and using bags. I did not know what a bag rider was till recently (learn more...

    Avenger updates?

My first Avenger in .22 was a leaker, accurate as all get out but a leaker. Returned it to the seller and he sent me another, it too is ACCURATE and does not leak! These airguns are pushing the envelope with pressure, parts and technology so problems are inevitable in my opinion. I have $300...

    First Shots

Mia Culpa. Pouring over my chronograph data and gun info I realize I the first 1-2 shots were not low. Actually is was the last shots of the last string and the tank pressure was too low, hard to focus when having that much fun. My cheap Avenger is now dialed in, shooting 860 fps, does not...

    First Shots

Is it normal for the first 1-2 shots of a string, especially if the gun has not been fired for 30 minutes or more, to vary in velocity and POI ? Is this exaggerated in colder weather ? Seems my first 1-2 shots vary, but then the rest are extremely consistent and accurate.
