There's really no need to learn what ALL the birds look like. Just learn what the birds you CAN shoot look like. :) In almost all cases is is only European Starlings, House Sparrows, and maybe Collared doves if you have them in your area. Pigeons are usually fair game too but I have heard of...

Dead is Dead. Shot placement is ALWAYS important but power can make up for mistakes which all shooters make. If that shot would have come from a 1322 that bird may not have died so quickly. Luckily it was made with an excellent high powered air rifle. :)

It's not what the Turkeys are finding it what other wild animal like a Hawk may find. A Poisoned rat makes an easy meal. Even if you put it in their holes their instinct is to find water. They leave their dens. Just because you don't see them don't think they died in their hole. Besides...

Starlings are good to shoot for everyone as are House Sparrows and Collard Doves where they exist! check your laws before you shoot Grackles though. They aren't legal to shoot everywhere. make sure it's legal in your area especially before you post pics on the WWW! ;) ;)

I put it in Chair Gun and it looks to me like you'd be good out to 50yds. As long as you can do your part and put the pellet where it needs to be. :)

Poisoning them is just stupid! they die slowly and run to find water. In the meantime something else like a Hawk or other Predator catches and eats them and dies itself. You don't have to Poison near the coop either. Just setup an area to attract the rats away from the Turkeys. (An area with a...
