For swaging, pure lead is the way to go, for casting it's the same with maybe a bit of tin added, to help with mold fill out. Either way, with the softer alloy you may get some needed expansion, not so with ww alloy at 900 or so fps.

I agree with the 2 previous posters, however another potential problem is that the mold is cooling off as you cast from the cold temps. The small lee alum. molds warm quickly but also cool off very quickly in cold temps. Take it inside in the cold weather and use a fan to vent fumes, cast hot...

Mines in .25 and arrived new with way too much (gas press.) and it could not keep its mounts on, AOA fixed both problems and now it's my favourite break barrel, okay to cock although diff. than a springer...very accurate, but haven't cronographed it yet. Would def. recommend it.

My .25 cal. HW90 wears a Hawke Airmax and I have had no trouble with it, mounts are a different story as I've had problems keeping them form sliding. Took my gun back to AOA and they fixed it up good, now no problems.

It was prolly meant for the canadian market where that is the limit before it is considered a firearm, and you have to go through all the bs to buy one, something not req'd. in the USA (yet).

They are tough animals, I've shot hundreds with lotsa different cf. cals, and with any airgun I would only use a brain shot or the animal will make it down it's hole and suffer until death. Shooter should have waited for a clean head shot.

Great looking, handy rifle, I should get one although I already have its big brother, the HW95, nice all wood and steel not like most plastic PCPs.

Beautiful collection, I'd take any one of those over any 5 plastic PCPs, I like my 97 and TX200, the only downside is the weight as I like to use springers for hunting and for that I prefer my HW95. IMHO

Of the 2 choices I'd def. go with the Lam. thumbhole, plastic always looks cheap, my first choice is always nice walnut, which shouldn't be a problem on $2500 guns.

Is that gun on low power? Seems like hits should be more final, maybe use a HP or Hades?
