    Please Explain

Yeah, eyeglasses sales is a racket. They charge monstrous prices. You can do much better online. I had cataract surgery and even then, I need a tiny bit of distance correction and of course, reading lenses. My glasses cost $700 locally, and $130 online,...go figure. I agree with the above...

Athlon Midas TAC gen 2 - Wow!

I had a gen 1 4-16x and it might well be the best scope I ever used. I wanted a lighted reticle, so I sold it. I kinda wish I'd kept it, because it had simply the best lenses I've ever looked through.

    FX Wildcat regulator belleville size

Anyone know the size of Belleville washers in both regulators in the FX Wildcat mk3? I need to know the thickness of each set. Are they the both the same reg?

JSB MRD's...I know I'm late to the game

Been working on a tune for my Wildcat 22 for pellets and found the heavy liner doesn't like 18gr pellets. Then I tried 25gr MRD's and wow! things started to really look up. I've read a bit on here about them and they like high speed, over 900fps, preferably more and they still shoot at 100...

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

I'm still trying to figure out the ballistics. The calculators call for ~4 mil drop but only got 2.5 mil drop, which is good. I had to adjust the bc up quite a lot.

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

It's a heavy liner. I have a superior pellet liner for my Crown I'll try later, but for now, I'm good with this.

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

OK, guys. FIRST off thanks for all the help. Sometimes you just need another head or two, I really appreciate it. The MRD's are something to behold indeed. After sighting in at 33 yards, and then taking some potshots at 50 and 70 yards, I took a long break, ate lunch, and rested, so it was a...

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

Ok, here's what I found out. 18.1gr pellets are a no go at any reasonable fps. You need to really go high, like over 1000 fps to get any kind of consistency and then you're wasting air tremendously and consistency is only so-so. JSB MRD's are the pellet that gets in the sweet spot of this...

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

Ok, try this on for size. 1st reg 135 2nd reg 90 hammer was at 4.1mm, I turned it in 3 turns from there. hammer set on 7 FX 18.1gr 950fps avg and ES was something like 30-40 fps ???

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

I'm still tuning and thinking things thru. Thanks for the help. I'll try lower pressures again. I read a piece that suggested that large plenum don't play well with lighter power tunes as the plenum doesn't dump enough air per shot to refill properly on each shot. Makes sense. Also same post...

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

Ok, I'm learning. I've tuned Impacts and not had any problems, but the ones I had were not Wildcats that's for sure. I've fiddled with everything on it and pellets in the fast twist barrel is a no go for consistency. Accuracy at 30m was one hole, but we all know further out it's not for sure. I...

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

I weighed the hammer 11.4g and I've turned the adjuster screw in a couple turns but consistency goes down. I'm thinking either the spring is too strong or I need to try a lighter hammer.

FX Help with tuning Wildcat down

I'm new to the WC, but not FX, as I have a Crown and Dream Tac, and have had Impacts etc. But, I have a question about the WC tune. I want to tune it down to shoot 18gr pellets for a while, and am having trouble getting below 950 fps. My current tune is 1st reg ~135 bar 2nd reg 80 bar hammer 1...

Finding the perfect scope for serious airgun accuracy

I think you can get a pretty decent scope for target shooting for your budget. Several suggestions: * Hawke Frontier 1" tube line of scopes. I have two a 3-15X44 and a 5-20X44, both around $400 and crystal clear. Great scopes. * Vector Veyron 3-12X44, fantastic little scope. I have looked at...

Brocock/BRK Brockcock Sniper XR Sahara, newbie friendly?

I have a Sniper HR 22 that I bought used here quite a while ago. I keep saying I'll sell or trade it, but that gun is such a shooter that I just can't let it go. They are the real deal in airguns for sure.

    FX FX Crown regulator problem

As to regulators, I've had Impacts, and still have Dreamlines and Crowns and if the mail ever gets their heads out of their arses, I'll have a Wildcat. All take the same AMP reg. I also have several of both AMPs and Humas. My Dreamline, which is likely the most accurate gun I own, has an AMP. My...

    Garmin vs Athlon Chrony

I've had a Garmin for several months now, and use it a lot. I've had some issues, but really, nothing that would cause me to throw up my hands. The best part of the Garmin is no settings for sensitivity, return, blah, blah, blah, just tell it airgun, input pellet weight if you like, or leave it...
