Why is it necessary to remove all of the electronics, the butt section, after degassing the plenum ?

With a 2 screen chrono, can dirt on the screens affect the result ? High/low ? Or, do you get correct results right up to the point when no MV is recorded due to screen S 1 or 2, error ?

I have a Huggett Magna fitted to a 40 ft-lb .22 pcp and I'm not at all impressed with the sound moderation. Maybe it's as good as it gets. But, on the off chance, any recommendations for an alternative, quieter .22 mod at 40 ft-lb than a Huggett Magna ?

Just received my new 0.22 HP Alpha Wolf. It's for pesting/vermin out to 75 yards. No comp work. Using it, out of the box, on factory settings, 900 FPS with MRD. Three shots in same hole at 40 yards.👍 That was easy. 😀

I am having difficulty in removing the 2 magazine indexing retaining plate screws on a Daystate Pulsar. And in attempting to remove them the 2mm sockets have suffered some damage. Anyone know the size of these screws ?

My Pulsar has 6 screws connecting barrel shroud to barrel with an adaptor which is further attached to the barrel via a rail and 2 more screws. I've found that, over the years, this combination is rock solid. No zero wandering despite weeks between sessions and all sorts of storage positions...

I believe the shroud and chrono must remain connected to the barrel even during cleaning of the bore. Daystate recommend the use of a soft brush to clean the bore - so as to prevent damage to the chrono. So, my question, if I get stubborn lead fouling how am I supposed to clean the bore without...

With the new, redesigned, 0.22 JSB 25.39 grain pellets now available, anyone thinking of reverting back to 0.22 from 0.25 ?

Announced recently for the FX Crown. I'm not familiar with barrel liners. If it's not too dumb a question, how do they work ? 

Does anyone know what is the maximum power from an FX Impact 0.22 ? The FX website gives it at 30 ft-lb but that may be the typical factory setting. If possible I'd like Baracuda Match running at 920 fps or thereabouts.

Are there any guidelines as to setting the vertical height of butt pads ? In particular, for Bullpups with high scope rails. At present, with a Daystate Pulsar, I have the butt pad in a high position for bench shooting. I rarely, if ever, shoot prone.

I am having some difficulty shooting crows at 55 yards with 30 ft-lb at the muzzle, 16 grain JSB round head pellets. Frequently I am seeing a couple of feathers as the pellet strikes then the crow flies off, apparently unharmed. Any suggestions ? 

My Pulsar LED light at the rear of the frame is very dim. The light can only be seen as a faint glow in a dark room. For all practical purposes it is useless. I have informed the dealer and DS. Hopefully they will have a fix.

If I pull the trigger a second time after firing the Pulsar, it does not fire. But if I wait about 5 minutes and try again, it fires !! This is without cycling the indexing lever ! Anyone know what is happening?

During a target session in the UK winter conditions, the outside of the breech area on my PCP gets covered in condensation - which think is due to the Joule-Thomson effect. Can this condensation affect pellet performance ?

With a dome headed diabolo pellet, is there a speed above which it destabilises ? In my experience, with the 0.22, it seems that 900fps or thereabouts is the maximum. Above that and I start getting flyers. Also, above 900fps my barrel cleaning frequency increases - at least with my LW rifled...

Just got mine and I've got to say that it's the most accurate air rifle I've owned by a long way. From the box it's giving 0.25" for 5 shot groups at 40 yds off a couple of bags so I'm pretty sure that could improved . On high power it's giving 970fps, 33 ft-lb with JSV Jumbo Exact 15.9 grain...
