    Choosing a HW

    No love for the HW35?

    Two HW50s, Two HW35Es and an R9.

What's the point of this post? You're anticipating (and hoping) for a complete ban on firearms in the US and then you're planning to beg them to keep a couple of your springers? This is simply ridiculous and even offensive to most of us.

TX200: Finally shooting to my expectations

The velocity dropped to 736 FSP with the JSB 8.44 I also noticed some grinding sound when cocking the rifle. I took out the kit and the spring is bent a little . I'm done with the Vortek kit. I reinstalled the factory parts and the power/twang are both back. I also put an order for a TBT tuning...

TX200: Finally shooting to my expectations

The gun keeps loosing velocity. After shooting a few hundred pellets, the velocity dropped from 818 to 801 fps. As a reminder it started at 850 fps. As of now the rifle is officially a sub 12 ft/lbs. The ES has always been between 7 to 15 fps.

TX200: Finally shooting to my expectations

After after 3 or 4 tins of pellets, the gun is shooting slower and right at around 12.5 ft/lbs. That's 818 FSP average vs 850, which I suppose is ideal. These are the groups I got today at 23Y indoor. All five shot groups. JSB 8.44 average 0.307" C to C Sovereign 8.44 average 0.310" C to C

Tuning HW97 - what to use for degreasing?

Last time I used Everclear 190 proof and it seemed to work pretty well.

Need a gunsmith for my BSA R10 SE (I'm in the USA)

Will do. I though he was working only on springers. I'm glad he also works on PCPs.

Need a gunsmith for my BSA R10 SE (I'm in the USA)

I applied some purple locktite on the hammer spring adjuster and put it back. Except that I forgot to put the spring. As a result, I screwed the hammer adjuster too much and if fell down inside. I need to find a gunsmith to not only correct my mess-up, but also to tune the rifle. I have already...

TX200: Finally shooting to my expectations

Thanks r1lover. Today I shot this target at 30Y outdoor with FX 10.3 and JSB 8.44 I can tell that this gun is more accurate than me. I wonder how much more I can shrink the overall groups and if it's worth to get it professionally tuned.

TX200: Finally shooting to my expectations

I’m the original owner of this rifle and it has several thousand pellets through it. It has the Vortek seal, Vortek PG3 steel tuning kit set at the lowest power and the only lube I used is the Krytox GPL 205 Grease. The trigger has not been modified at all and breaks at a crisp 13oz. I did...

What’s the best grease for tuning a TX200 and high end springers in general...?

I just ordered some Krytox GPL205. Do I need to use a special product to degrease what I’ve already applied? Is Krytox the only product I need, meaning I won’t have to apply any silicone chamber oil on the the piston seal?

What’s the best grease for tuning a TX200 and high end springers in general...?

I use a drop of crosman silicon chamber oil on the seal. Light coat of Ballistol on the piston assembly. Light coat of TW25B grease on the main spring, spring assembly (it's a Vortek tune kit) and on the end part of the piston assembly where the trigger latches. I'm not very experienced...

Finally upgrading to a higher end PCP rifle

I'm a big gun enthusiast but I'm pretty new to PCPs. My first PCP was a BSA R10 SE . It was a bit disappointing. After that I purchased an FX Dream Tac in 0.22 and absolutely love it. Perfect crisp trigger that breaks at 15oz and will shoot JSB 18.1 gr in the 0.3s-4s at 50Y right out of the...

First PCP: BSA R10 SE and compressor. Anything else I need to consider?

Just shot the FX and the BSA side by side. Distance 31Y with low wind. All groups are 5 shots. The red circles are 0.5” For the FX I used JSB 14.35 gr pushed at 840 FPS on power 2. After shooting the target you see (75 shots, I went from 220 bar to 160 bar (the reg is set from factory to...

First PCP: BSA R10 SE and compressor. Anything else I need to consider?

Thanks for the message. Happy to be here. With your last post on the other forum, I knew there are a lot of things I need to learn about. I'm thinking of things like benefit of FX impact vs Dreamline for shooting pellets (still not clear), and Nitrogen tanks (had no idea they even existed)...

New to Airguns, need advice on first purchase.

The other major benefit of the FX is that you’re pretty much guaranteed to not have a barrel issue for two reasons. First, the way they make barrels allows to get much less variations between barrels. Second, if some reason you end up with a bad barrel, you can buy a new liner for only $100.

Good call. I made the mistake and went the BSA R10. First PCP: BSA R10 SE and compressor. Anything else I need to consider? - Airgun Nation

I would buy an FX Dreamline and not look back. I went with the Dreamline Tac. It will shoot under 0.5" right out of the box. If you want, you can also tune it extensively and change calibers and barrel liners.

First PCP: BSA R10 SE and compressor. Anything else I need to consider?

Yeh...Lots of updates..... The regulator on the BSA was junk. I replaced it with a Huma reg and the chrono numbers are good now. As far as accuracy goes, I just couldn't shoot the gun better than 0.75" average at 50Y (I've tried all settings and pellets you can imagine). The accuracy is half...

First PCP: BSA R10 SE and compressor. Anything else I need to consider?

I'll buy a better filter. For now I just ordered the cheaper one from Amazon and it will be delivered tomorrow. I've already filled the tank twice without filter and have already filled the gun with the tank. Anything I can do about it?. Should I be worried about corrosion on the gun and the...
