12 FPE .177 Traditional Type options

I’ve found the 410mm barrel to be just about perfect for the 12fpe power output. I set my regulator to 80bar and backed off the hammer spring to have a few thousands of gap . Works wonders for the shot count. Here’s a great place to get a new HW100 for a great price. These are listed in Canadian...

12 FPE .177 Traditional Type options

I always answer this type of question with the same answer. HW100 in just about any configuration. At 12fpe in .177 you can get close to 100 shots from a 200 bar fill.

    EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Well now talk about going all in. Great choice for a new to airguns rifle. My suggestion is to get a scope that will let you focus down to 10 yards and start shooting. The 350cc bottle should give you plenty of shots at a reasonable power ( enough for coyotes and fox) there’s really no NEED to...

Own production of wild cats encountered difficulties

Did you not ask for dimensions for the receiver? That doesn’t sound to me like your trying to make parts , that sounds like your attempting to make a rifle. By the way , this is not an Airsoft forum. Those are completely different shooting plastic beads. I’m fairly certain no one on this site is...

Own production of wild cats encountered difficulties

Nice story. Maybe try sending an email to FX. I’m sure Fredrick would be happy to help.

What’s the best trigger in the business

True enough Qball. I myself don’t like a hair trigger, I prefer a short first stage with a 2lb break. Maybe I should have asked what is the most adjustable trigger available . Weight , pull , shoe position , etc.

What’s the best trigger in the business

I’ve been thinking about the most adjustable trigger with the cleanest break that I have had. So far the one that comes to mind is the HW100. Now not including the electronic triggers out there. Is there something I’ve been missing? I’ve had a Marauder trigger for quite some time on a discovery...

    Tuning Plenum size formula/calculation ?

Racing, I wouldn’t use that. The wall thickness looks to be way too thin not to mention the pressure on the endcaps . If you want big power from that rifle , I’d be getting rid of the regulator and source a stiffer hammer spring.

Collapsible backpack PCP gun with under a 3600 fill pressure?

For a review , look no further than here in the PCP discussion gate. There’s a 200 page thread on it. The initial cost is scary no doubt about it. Good luck finding what your after.

    .257 ammo.

Get yourself a 257420 mold and send it off to Erik at hollow point mold services. It’s a one and done type purchase. The lead pot and the rest of the supplies needed are fairly cheap. 71 grain of pure lead at 1000fps will put just about any game down with the proper shot placement. I have seen...

Besides the Airforce Texan .257, what other high end airguns use .257 caliber?

I believe the Texan is the only manufactured.257 on the market. The others are all some sort of conversion. My personal favorite conversion is the Winchester 35-70. Other than the Evanix sniper , it’s the only rifle that has a magazine capable of taking bullets over .55” long. Perfect for the...

Collapsible backpack PCP gun with under a 3600 fill pressure?

Pretty hard to compete with a Leshiy 2 when thinking compact and powerful. I also fill to 250 bar with no problems , I do have a 480cc bottle on mine so the shot count is three times what you would get from a stock setup.

AEA HP SS Plus+ at the range, it’s a riot!

I just watched a video on the .357 HP standard . Very cool little gun, that sure packs a wholop with that short barrel. I’d like to see the internals on these to see exactly how they are making such big power. Would be nice to see a sidelever model . I’m thinking the hammer spring is quite a...

    Older / Vintage pcp guns.

HW100, once again tops my list as favorite vintage air rifle. Sure they are still made but the design is 20 years old now with some refinements done to the action. With a good tune you can get a decent shot count. I’ve gone through a few of them in the last few years that I bought from the used...

    NSA 34.9 slug tune

It could very well be that your barrel doesn’t like the size of the slugs. I dont think NSA has different sizes available in .25 caliber. Have you slugged your barrel ?

    All my bases covered

I’m not gonna list what I have but can tell you there are dedicated pellet and slug shooters n .177 through .257 calibers . A couple mid range rifles that have been heavily modified to high end with a few simple add ons. Even a couple high end springers to round things off when I want simple. As...
