How hard was it to get the stock barrel shroud cap off? I got the Donnyfl adapter today and tried to get the cap off with a pin wrench and it did not budge. Loctite ?

Mine leaked when I tried to fill it for the second time, would not hold air. Disassembled the air cylinder. There was a white substance around the fill port, cleaned the o-ring, reassembled and it has been fine for 30-40 fills now.

I second the pp700sa, as a pistol. I shoot it off hand with a red dot, not locked in a vise, and it is very accurate at 15 yards. Maybe not 100% balanced, but really easy to shoot off handed. Another option would be Picatinny rail clips, larue tactical makes them. They will cover the sharp edges and get your cheek weld as low as possible. I tried them with low rings, but the scope was still too low.

I have only shot Crosman premier 14.3 gr pellets through the Akela. Not sure about the FPS, one mark down from max power. One ragged hole at 20 yards shooting off of the sand bags.
