Well maybe not scopes in may case, but Amazon has been know to be lax with certain products as far as checking for authenticity. I have purchased electronics that were not authentic. Better to be on the careful side.Thanks for sharing even though you stand corrected.

Is there a method or a way to check a scope for damage caused by magnum springers other than the obvious broken, rattling piece inside a scope? And how do the manufacturers check scopes that are sent in for such suspected damage?
