    Garmin Chronograph

As previously mentioned the Garmin is more reliable, it does not miss shots. If all you use are air guns, it may be harder to justify the cost difference compared to the original FX chronograph. Since I also reload for powder burners the FX alone will not work for me. I got the Garmin for my...

    Orion FX magazine

I've bought several magazines from Orion. They all work great. They especially work better than the FX OEM magazines for slugs. Mine are all the original older style. I haven't bought any of the new ones with the removable lid. His magazines do hold slightly less ammo, in .22 caliber his...

FX wildcat mk3 bt vs taipan veteran 2 compact

I have a FX Wildcat Mk3 BT Compact in 0.22 calibre, and a Taipan Veteran (original / 1) in 0.177 calibre. Wildcat is more powerful. Mine is tuned to shoot slugs. The Veteran is tuned to shoot Hades pellets. They are equally accurate. The Wildcat is more adjustable and more finicky. The...

Airgun Technologies Uragan 2 Carbon Fiber Stock Weight?

I am sorely tempted by a Uragan 2, and struggle with which stock to get. I actually saw one in a shop and held it. The one I held, had the red wood laminate stock and 600mm barrel. Very attractive. I was surprised at how light the gun felt. I suspect the published weight may be inaccurate...

Athlon Ares BTR Gen.2 4.5-27x50 question

I live in a rural area with no Athlon dealers close by. There is no opportunity to go look through an Athlon. The reviews I've read about the Ares BTR Gen. 2 have all been very positive. The one thing I have not seen discussed is the close focus. I know the parallax adjustment is 25 yards to...

    FX Wildcat Mk3 + H&N Mk2 slugs = Magic

I've been round and round trying to find a slug that would shoot well in my Wildcat MK3 BT Compact. I've tried at least a dozen different slugs of varying brands, diameters and weights but never got the accuracy I was wanting; until yesterday. I tried the H&N HP2 slugs, 0.218" diameter, 25...

Airgun Technologies cant keep it together......

Thanks for the data on your 600mm 25 calibre Uragan 2. I saw one at a shop and was impressed. Very nice looking. It didn't feel as heavy as the data on the internet would indicate. Info on the Uragans is hard to find, so I appreciate your sharing the real world performance. What is your...

FX WC MK3 VP velocity help

I'd have to check my notebook for the exact numbers. The original hammer weight was 1 gram underweight. I think the correct weight was suppose to be 11 grams.

FX WC MK3 VP velocity help

Have you removed and weighed the hammer weight? My Wildcat MK3, BT compact came with the wrong hammer weight (too light). It was a real mess trying to figure out what the gun was doing. FX customer service helped diagnose the problem and sent me the correct hammer weight. It made all the...

FX Orion magazines for FX Crown ???

I've purchased several of Orion's magazines. I like them. They are considerably less expensive than the FX mags, they also handle light for caliber slugs better. I also like the bright colors for hunting magazines, it makes them much easier to find if dropped.

FX Set it and forget it

I was hung up on ES and SD, but they don't really correlate that strongly to on target accuracy, especially with pellets at 30 yards or less.

FX Set it and forget it

I've got my 22 wildcat BT set up to shoot slugs at power wheel setting 7 or 6 (depending on the slug). I shoot Hades pellets by turning the power wheel down to 1, and 25 gr. FX pellets to power wheel 5.
