.25 Marauder Gen2 - lots of upgrades, accessories

Hey Y’all! Testing the waters with my .25 Marauder. I have three barrels, 2 standard Crosman and on custom made TJ by Mountain Air Customs. Likes Air arms 25 grain and JSB 33gr pellets. The Crosman barrels like the Benjamin Domed pellets, which I’ll include with the sale, think I have 3 or 4...

New .25 Marauder BP2564W - out of box experience and first shots

...and I may or may not be experimenting with a TJ barrel in the near future :). Consequently also have a .177 Lothar Walther Polygonal barrel coming for my other Mrod too, maybe looking to see how far I can go with a regulated but still somewhat high-powered .177.

New .25 Marauder BP2564W - out of box experience and first shots

I see a lot of discussion about other brands and rifles, and while I know the Marauder has been reviewed *many* times, it seems there's a gap in documented experiences for newer .25 Marauders as they are being produced today. I wanted to take a little bit of time to document my recent experience...

How many of you shoot Crosman Domed Pellets?

Not to dig up an old thread here, but figured I’d chime in with a recent experience. I recently purchased both a tin and brown box of the 10.5 .177 CPUMs, and the pellets from the tin just weren’t great. I tried the CPUMs recently in my TX200 that developed an affinity for the Baracuda Match...

    Air Arms TX200 Trigger Question

Thanks Steve, I’ve been gradually turning up the break weight and it’s getting better after the polish. Also something I need to take in to account is I have to relearn the trigger again, and what I’m finding is after roughly 100 shots with the break weight up a tad and it is indeed smooth with...

    Air Arms TX200 Trigger Question

Ok, turning up the break weight a touch got the first stage reset back, but still seems like there could be room for improvement if the parts were in better order :/. Interested in seeing what others have for hardware in their triggers.

    Air Arms TX200 Trigger Question

Just figured I’d throw my experience in here. When I got my TX200, I had the same described gritty trigger feeling. Once I decided to pull the trigger group for a thorough cleaning and polish, what I found made me a bit angry since I bought a new rifle - not a refurb. I was able to polish...

    Torn...Kratos or Avenger?

So after a bit of deliberation I decided against getting my first .22 for the backyard. Noise is definitely a concern, as is energy at range. While I think it might have been nice to have a .22 for wind resistance I think keeping noise and down range energy down is a smart choice for my current...

    Torn...Kratos or Avenger?

Thanks @odoyle, never heard of DAR, I’ll look in to that as an option.

    Torn...Kratos or Avenger?

So. I’m super torn in the choice for my next air rifle. Hoping for some opinions here to help me make the decision :). I currently own an Air Arms TX200 and SynRod (LW barrel) in .177, and was looking for my first truly backyard-friendly .22. The issue I’m having comes down to this; the...

New TX200 .177...how fast is too fast?

@SixGlocks, not sure, used 1125FPS since that was the sound barrier at the given temperature and humidity when I was hearing the loud shots. Will be borrowing a buddies chrony soon :).

New TX200 .177...how fast is too fast?

@Odoyle, here you are :). 20 and 50 yards, the 3” target is 20 and the 8” targets are 50 yards. I took these this morning on fresh paper, shooting the H&N Baracuda Hunter Extremes. @270windude sorry, I don’t have the ability to take video...yet :). Not .2”, but darn nice for a springer I think...

New TX200 .177...how fast is too fast?

@odoyle I took your advice a step further since I was seeing grease streaks on the breach cover. I decided to strip it down and what I found was grease had crept in to the compression chamber. I wiped it all clean and reinstalled the piston with just a little graphite power, not touching the...

New TX200 .177...how fast is too fast?

Hey all! I think I’m getting to the end of my break in, as I’m getting ragged hole groups at 20 and 50 yards now :). I did have to remove the stock and oil the action in the pivot points on the cocking arm. At first I got OK groups with H&N Baracuda Match, the with H&N Baracuda FT. I decided...

New to PCP - Synthetic Marauder .177 LW barrel on the way!

Thanks @aimright :). Thanks @xbowsniper! I’ll look up your channel for re-centering the scope, but what rings help to accomplish this? FWIW the BSA 2-7x32 currently on the Marauder doesn’t have this issue with regular 1” rings, hence my thinking that the scope was defective.

New to PCP - Synthetic Marauder .177 LW barrel on the way!

Hey @aimright, here’s what my groups look like at around 63 yards (edited to correct distance once measured). Top target was shot with the 13.4 JSB Monsters, bottom target with the JSB Beasts. Last pic is a 5 shot group and got me *really* excited! Pictures with the quarter are the Beasts. The...
