Gamo swarm. Are they worth the hype?

I have two, in .22 and .177. They are reasonably accurate to 25 yards, and kill squirrels easily. For me they are easy to crank, and I like the thumbhole stock.

New TX200 .177...how fast is too fast?

1,125 fps is pretty damn fast for a spring gun. I think you might find the actual numbers to much lower.

New TX200 .177...how fast is too fast?

burkhalter, what did your pellets actually chrono at?

Why is my Game so inaccurate?

These are hand picked by 13 year old virgins, gotta be tight... .001 gram = 15.43 grains, so it is +/- .015 grains. C

Why is my Game so inaccurate?

Actually that's a very good price for 18 different types. But the shipping sucks.

Why is my Game so inaccurate?

I have a Gamo (multi shot) Swarm Fox 22, a Swarm Fox 177, and a Whisper 22. You must find the right pellet. While Crossman's may work in your gun, there are much better precision swaged pellets, like JSB's, H&N's, RWS Match, Nielsen Specialty slugs, FX. Swaged pellets are much more uniform...

    Dot sights on break barrels?

I put a FireClub 11mm to Picatinny on my 22cal Gamo Fox. It has 4 retaining screws. Socks it down real tight. $13 on Amazon. Also has a detent pin that fits the 11mm rail like the OEM scope.

    Dot sights on break barrels?

Put on a $35 TruGlo knockoff I had laying around. Much quicker sight picture than a 4x scope.

    Beeman R7 Santa Rosa rescue.

I had one of those from the late 70's that I picked up from the factory.

Quiet break barrel for urban squirrel invasion?

I use Gamo Swarm Fox's multi shot break barrels in both .22 and .177. My target zone is about the same, 3-35 yards. Killed several over 35 ounces this spring. Our 2nd season comes again in October. The .22 throws a 14gr/16 gr pellet at 630 ffps and the .177 shoots a 8 gr at 880 fps, a 9.6 at...

Those are some really bad ass looking air rifles!

    September "Picture" Shooting Challenge

Gamo Swarm Fox's, 22 cal top/177 cal bottom. Only results count.

    Dot sights on break barrels?

3 MOA being 3" in diameter at 100 yards, or .3" in diameter at 10 yards. a 1-2 MOA dot would probably work better. An old trick for dots is to replace the 2032 battery with two 2016 batteries. The double 16's are the same thickness as a 32, but double the voltage so the dot appears twice as...

    Dot sights on break barrels?

Well it so happens I have both a Burris Fast Fire II (4 MOA) and a Bushnell TRS-25 (3 MOA) just lying around along with a couple of 11mm to Picatinny long rail adapter. Get busy with that when I get back from vacation. You want an adapter with at least 3 bolts to the 11mm rail.

    Dot sights on break barrels?

Nice. Thanks guys. I run dots on center fire pistols and AR-15's and PCC's (pistol caliber carbines) for decades. But I am new to air rifles. They are much faster than a scope, especially for 3-25 yards, and I've got a hand full of dots waiting to mount. Sept, I've got 9 Glocks, but how do you...

    Swarm Magnum GEN2 .22 x10-shot air rifle - Accuracy Test #001

Well I have a FX Shooting Chrono and a Caldwell chrono for center pistol and rifle, but just got a AceTech AC5000 for air rifles. Only $50 and way easier to use. Just stick the muzzle right at the opening. No worry about hold over scope offset.

    Dot sights on break barrels?

I've run dots on center fire handguns for decades, but was wondering if they will hold up on a break barrel spring gun? Anyone try that?

    Swarm Magnum GEN2 .22 x10-shot air rifle - Accuracy Test #001

Nice. I'll be looking at one of those. Did you happen to chrono any of those loads?

    Shooting range in southern cal?

Prado has a public 50 yard rifle bay. Pala is a private range and has even been closed even for competition matches. RT 66 did hold an airgun show a couple of weeks ago sponsored by Nielsen Specialty Ammo out of La Verne.
