Thanks for that info and that's exactly why I was asking. I want to make sure there are no wounded critters running around, I want to be sure they are dead so the Gamo has plenty for that, just need to get a better scope for accuracy first and then maybe a better gun if I can't get it to shoot...

Gonna mount the Bug Buster first, the gun has plenty of power even with the 10+ grain pellets. I think the scope may help a lot with the accuracy, my 59 year old eyes ain't 20/20 anymore lol. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, i kinda figured they were more of a kids fun gun , I had a couple growing up too. The scope is the factory scope and not too good past 10 yards, I have a Bug Buster I want to mount but have not looked for the adapter or whatever it takes to mount it yet, i do think that...

So maybe I came to the wrong forum? Two simple questions really. 1. I want to shoot the squirrels and possums and 2. just curious really as to why a pellet gun has to be heavier than a serious gun that shoots real bullets. The Gamo puts 7 and 10 grain pellets through one inch boards, not ply...

Gamo pretty loud, tried different pellets, still loud so would also prefer one that I can suppress, so it doesn't freak out neighbors. thanks SnM

So I was looking around at Academy where I bought my Gamo Swarm Maxxim that shoots over 1000 fps (at least advertised) and I see all these cool looking pellet and bbq SBR's but mostly all don't shoot past 500 fps so makes me wonder if they can actually do any damage control at all like squirrels...

Plenty on Amazon, I bought a truck load today, lol. Just kidding I ordered to containers of 500. 

Just checked what I was using and they are Crossman Premier super point 7.4 grain, so going to order that heavier one

New member here, thanks for having me, I'm blown away by all the make$$ and model$$$ of air guns lol I had no idea and always thought people just bought bb guns and pellet guns at Walmart or Academy. Bought this gun a couple years ago for blackbirds, possums and other varmints a couple years...
