    Behemoth or STO

Yeah love the STO Falx and Sarissa. They work so well. Swear they helped with groups too. Now I want to try a behemoth. lol

    Best 30mm Moderators?

I’d like to try a MOD-30. The silent thunder ordnance moderators I have are outstanding. The Accipiter if you want mouse fart quiet and don’t mind the length. Or the Falx is within a few DB and almost half the size

Harmonic Barrel Tuners - Help or Hype?

I use Cortina tuners on my centerfire PRS rifles and they work great. But I never got the integrated FX harmonic tuner to do anything other than move the group around the paper. The groups were always smaller without it, still feel like I did something wrong but I actually found a big heavy...

FX Impact M3 700mm .30 Heavy Liner Concerns

Even when you get your replacement I’d polish it. It will not hurt it and regardless of how good it looks will perform better with a polish. Since I got it shooting good I haven’t cleaned or polished the liner. And I’ve put thousands of slugs through it.

FX Impact M3 700mm .30 Heavy Liner Concerns

Came here to say the same. I use JB bore paste. iosso also works great, it’s a bit more gritty than JB. Give it 25 passes with a .30 bore mop, clean with a CLP or similar and I’d even run a patch of alcohol down it at the end to make sure you got everything clean and out. Heck I’ve put over 100...

    JSB MARK II @ 1030

Oh man! I’d love to see some groups. Is that a K1 you are shooting it out of? I was just shooting some heavy MKII’s around 940 out of a superior heavy liner and they did better than I thought they would, less than an inch at 65 yards.

    FX Dreamline Holds its own

Someone asked for groups. I haven’t forgotten, just been busy. She prints good enough for me. JSB Kings 25.4 grain. It shoots tighter on wheel setting 4 at around 845fps but I’m good with these results. I strive for higher levels of accuracy out of my Impact MKII but for starlings and woodchucks...

    FX Dreamline Holds its own

Hey qball. Yesterday we had 11mph winds gusting up to 20. It kept 25.4 kings around an inch, maybe a little bit less. I’m not a very good shot really. I’ll do a proper test in calm conditions and post the target. I always shoot the same distance (maximum of my backyard about 63-65 yards). I put...

    FX Dreamline Holds its own

Regulator is around 140 Huma pin probe Stock springs and hammer weight Huma high flow transfer port Silent thunder ordnance high flow valve stop Single FX power plenum Each part added some power or efficiency, but I got nearly 20fps from the STO high flow valve stop. It really opens up the...

    FX Dreamline Holds its own

Dreamline .25 with the 380mm/395mm (whatever it is) superior standard liner. Screenshots are from JSB King 25.4’s. The first shots (around 12:37) were when the tank was full 250bar. The last 10 or so shots (around 12:58) were the last shots of the fourth magazine. 64 shots on a 480mm bottle...

What's with the Slug Speed fetish lately?

Ted Bier posted some groups near 1,100 fps on Instagram. I believe he made a video on it too. Long story short he had great results at the higher speeds. He also noticed with certain NSA slugs the BC increased dramatically. If I remember correctly the bc nearly doubled at the higher speeds, but...

    41 grain ZANs

They fit and seat just fine. The largest slugs I’ve used in the standard FX magazine are the Altaros 49.5’s. Those barely fit, but you’ll have plenty of room with ZAN 41’s. I can post pictures if you want still have some of both

    Accuracy drop off

890-910 was the thinking for a long time. That’s where I keep pellets. with newer FX barrels I’ve seen guys getting good results up to 940.

    Accuracy drop off

Do you know how fast your shooting in FPS? I always tune for speed first once I find a pellet/slug my gun likes then I fine tune for precision/accuracy. If you don’t have a chronograph there are ways but they aren’t very precise. One way I’ve used without a chronograph is to listen to the pellet...

Tuning Impact MK2PP PowerBlock upgrade blues 🥵

Put the kit in last night. My only leak was where the regulator pressure gauge screws in, I sandwiched an o-ring in for now until I figure out a better solution. I used the valve spring from the slug power kit and the Huma hammer weight and spring that I had rather than the weight and springs...

Tuning Impact MK2PP PowerBlock upgrade blues 🥵

Thats great. Also exactly what I’m getting out of my .25 MKII PP. I shoot the NSA 38.9’s around 970fps. That includes the Ernest TP, slug power kit, NSA pin probe and a Huma hammer weight. 146 on the reg. Ironically my power block arrived today (ordered in April). After seeing the results Ted...
