I would suggest a smaller one like the koi or Tanto as bigger ones make it difficult to fill the rifle. DonnyFL also has an adapter for it that extends it a little.

A big part of having chickens for me is that they eat the ticks that deer bring onto the property. Having them in a run all the time defeats one of the big reasons I have them. If a predator is comfortable enough to come in your yard for your pets then they are a problem imo.
