My HW30 Urban Pro Black Pepper

Nice. I'd like to find that stock and swap out one of mine.

Hawke Vantage or Athlos Talos for lower end Scopes?

I've had a Vantage 2-7x32 on an HW30 for a few weeks now. I really like it so far. Seems like a hell of scope for only $100.

Question regarding taking air rifle out of USA

I'd probably ship it ahead rather than trying to fly with it.

I really wanted to like the BKL scope mount

    PM sent.

I really wanted to like the BKL scope mount

I'm not even going to try getting a replacement or a refund. It's not worth my time. A one-piece mount is overkill for this application and I've decided I prefer the more traditional appearance of 2-piece rings on this type of rifle anyway.

I really wanted to like the BKL scope mount

Sure, it's possible my torque wrench is faulty. I don't have any way of checking that. But I've got the Sportsmatch ring bases torqued to 35 in/lb with the same wrench and the bolts aren't stripping and the dovetail is not being deformed.

I really wanted to like the BKL scope mount

Yes, the screws are long enough. HW30, 11mm dovetail, Leupold 3-9x33 EFR scope. Looking at the thread holes with a 10x loupe I can see that there are no intact threads left in the first hole. The bolt falls out when I turn the mount on its side and tap it. Totally stripped out. Several crescent...

I really wanted to like the BKL scope mount

Please note that it's not my intention to disparage BKL Technologies as a company, or this particular mount, in any way. If you can avoid the 2 issues I encountered, I'm sure it's a fine scope mount.

I really wanted to like the BKL scope mount

I bought a BKL-260 one-piece scope mount and sat here staring at it for 2 months while my scope was on backorder. It's such a beautiful piece of machining. My dad, who was a machinist for most of his working career, agrees that it's a really nice looking piece of work. Couldn't wait to put it to...

Wildly different renderings of Weihrauch HW100 Sporter and Carbine

Someone on the Weihrauch Facebook group just explained to me that the Weihrauch photos are sub-12 ft lb UK/Euro versions. They're 4" shorter than the FAC versions. Pretty sure I want the carbine in .177.

Wildly different renderings of Weihrauch HW100 Sporter and Carbine

I'm not able to look at and handle the rifles in question in person. If I purchase, I'll be ordering sight unseen. Below I've composited the photos of the HW100 sporter and carbine from Weihrauch's website and Airguns of Arizona's website. I've tried to scale them all in Photoshop close to the...

    HW30S Urban Pro

While we're on the subject of HW30 stocks, there are apparently at least 2 different lengths of the Deluxe stock. One is longer and covers the cocking arm (see photos). Mine has the shorter stock. I like the look of the longer one more. @DML908 If you could, please let us know which length of...

    HW30S Urban Pro

The barrel is marked HW30K because the Urban Pro uses the shorter carbine barrel, to which they then attach the moderator. Consequently the barrel specs are incorrect on Airguns of Arizona's web page for the Urban Pro. They have it listed as 15.5" when it's actually closer to 12" (plus the...

    Weihrauch HW30 .177 Urban Pro..anyone?

The HW30 Urban Pro is pretty close to perfect for my requirements: all shooting in my yard, <20 yds, targets, rats, and squirrels. It's quiet enough that I'm pretty sure my neighbors don't realize I've been shooting back there. Seems to me that it gets a little quieter the more it breaks in too...

Today I discovered how much pellet is too much for my HW30

Been working my way through the JSB pellet sampler and while some are better than others, honestly they were all pretty OK until I got to the Diabolo Exact Monster 13.43 gr. First shot was about 5" low at 17 yards. I thought I'd try seating the pellet further and see if that helps. Nope...

Diana RWS 34 Springer or Hatsan 95 Vortex QE?

I don't have anything to contribute to this discussion, only came here to tell shambozzie that's a nice looking yard. Sweet set up.
