Thanks - A new foster fitting was ordered from Crosman yesterday for $9. Incidentally, it's the same part number as the fill nipple on the P-rod.

Thanks for all the input! I took davecole's suggestion and removed some material from the shoulder. But as shown in the original image, there was over 1/32" to remove so I opted to use a Dremel. The female foster will now lock on securely and I was able to fill her up for the first time...
