Another time Odoyle points to a deal that appears to be too good to pass up. The trouble is that every time I jump in the deal proves to be every bit as good as it seems - and usually a\even better. I just ordered one as well. Thanks again Odoyle!
I picked up a Wolverine R in .177 last year but mine is the HP version. It has been absolutely trouble free and a tack driver shooting the 16.2gr JSB Beast. I picked up an Air Wolf off the classified here a few months ago. Made me a believer in the electric guns, the trigger is really...
I had the same first impression of the Alpha 6 reticle. Once I mounted and used it a bit, it became clear that the reticle was not going to be a problem. It may not be a perfect scope, but it is a solid performer, and at $200 - a real bargain
I replaced an Aluminum bottle on my AirWolf with the Omega carbon bottle from AOA. It was essentially the same size. Mine measured right at 2.4” in diameter and just under 12” long (pressurized to 246 Bar). Hope that helps.
Seems to me the modulus of Aluminum is about a third that of steel, Titanium is about half of Steel’s. Seems like you’d be saving some weight but going backwards with respect to harmonics even with a thicker barrel.
I usually find Trenier cheaper even on larger orders. The lower price/tin plus lower shipping costs seem to work out better than the ‘free’ tins and shipping you get from some folks. Trenier is my first stop when shopping and I only go elsewhere if they or out of stock on whatever I’m looking...
Have you considered putting a Heliboard into the Pulsar? While I don't have personal experience with them yet (mine is coming very soon) I believe with the available 12 power settings you could run a setting at 12 FPE and by just stepping through menu you could restore the HP settings in the...
I think all Odoyle is saying is when you have a 8x - 10x magnification range on a scope (meaning for example a 2 to 20 power scope which would be 10x the magnification range) there are compromises in the design of the optics that can create distortion in the high power views through scope.
Thanks - I’m really looking forward to it coming in. Planning on using it in the yard, and with my wife and grandson. I understand that the best pellet selection can be pretty dependent on the specific gun, but what are the better starting points? I’ve got some JSB 8.4 gr and some 7.33 gr - but...
It is pretty simple, if you have a modern phone (I use an iPhone) it is almost plug and play after you download the app. I bought mine from Airguns of Arizona - although that was more because they had them in stock at the time. I count this as one of the better purchases I've made - no buyer...
Mine was a ground squirrel about 70 yards out and a good 50 ft below me. This guy had climbed to the top of a pair of 6’ steel fence posts that were a few inches apart and hid most of his head and lower body. I had a window of about 3“ where I could see his front leg and shoulder. Fired a 16.2...
