All the instructions specifically say to remove the o-ring on valve body . It leaks thru the grooves I cut in the threads. There's something I'm missing here.

After installing a Huma regulator I have a constant leak where the valve body and air cylinder screw together. Per the instructions I filed a notch in the threads of the valve and also of the cylinder to vent it . Had to reinstall the o- ring on the valve body to stop the leak . Doesn't this...
