    Tuning HELP! Gamo urban .22

I think Pyramid Air can work on them. It is most likely just an o-ring behind the air gauge. Mine leaked from there when I first got it and it was easy enough to take care of on my own. Let all the air out and slowly unscrew the gauge. Once it is off remove the o-ring and replace. Put a small...

Average Joe -Target Accuracy - 2 New Rifles - My Back 5 Acres

I have found the FX pellets 25.4 grain work best in my .22 Sniper XR Magnum. The 18.13 JSBs work well too. I have yet to clean the barrel in my Sniper since getting it about 6 months ago. I feel your pain however as I have struggled with my Air Arms S510 as it has yet to show the "legendary...

Who's willing to play - you can only keep ONE......

For the longest time I would have said my BSA R10SE in .22 would be my keeper, but now I think I would keep my .22 Sniper Magnum XR. Very accurate and the ability to adjust the power gives me all the rifle I would need.

A day of firsts with the Air Arms S510 .22 cal

Interesting results. My 510 produced only 38 full power shots at about 880-890 fps using the 18 grain JSBs. I also noticed that accuracy beyond 50 yards was much better if I turned power down one notch, and I got 7 more shots on a fill. I refill at 150 bar. Temps on the day I "tested" were in...

    BSA R10 SE Arrived Today

I've had my R10 SE for almost a year and a half and it remains my favorite rifle. I swapped the regulator to a Huma and changed the bottle to a 280cc unit from Best Fittings. Shoots JSB 18.13s at 860 or so fps. I range out to 85 yards at my house and the rifle is spot on as long as I do my part...

    Tuning Daystate Huntsman Revere Regulated

I don't know about the regulator but do know you can tweak the hammer. There were a couple videos linked in an earlier thread on how to do it. I did the process on my .22 and was able to go from 27 fpe to a solid 30 fpe. I ended up turning it back down to around 28 fpe as it seemed to lose...

    Daystate Revere pellet tests

My .22 Revere loves the JSB 15.89 diabolo and Hades pellets, and is great out to about 60 yards. I can hit targets out to 80-85, but not precisely enough to try a squirrel at that distance. However any squirrel inside 60 yards is a guaranteed goner!

    BSA factory stock finish

I bought my R10 SE almost 2 years ago and I put linseed oil on the stock. Just rubbed it in with a lint free cloth and the stock came out beautiful. I honestly don't think BSA uses anything on their stocks. When I applied the linseed the stock darkened immediately and has held that color ever since.

    High end pcp

I have the S510 Ultimate Sporter as well as the Hunstman Revere, BSA R10SE, and a Brocock Sniper XS HP. Of all of them only the S510 made the advertised power out of the box. All of my other rifles needed to be tweaked a little to make advertised power. The S510 gives the more powerful Sniper a...

Brocock/BRK Brocock Bantam Sniper HR & New Tripod Setup. Advice and Criticism are Welcome

I was just shooting my Sniper Safari HP this morning on my Bog Deathgrip tripod. I have mine setup to shoot 25.89 grain at 905 fps in .22 caliber. Missed just 4 shots over 43 1 1/2" targets. I have them spaced out at 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 yards with 1" targets at 65 yards. The Sniper s a great...

How many of you think you’re too deep into this thing

A year and a half or so into the hobby and I just ordered my sixth PCP, have a compressor, 15,000 or so rounds of ammo, a corner of my garage dedicated to tools and supplies, a chrono, hunting blind, trail cams in the woods to spot little grey furry tailed targets, a shooting range in the yard...

    Death Grip tripod (BOG)

I use one all the time and it fits all my rifles equally well. The trick is to find the balance point of the rifle and get the balance point as close to the clamp as you can, then the rifle will sit just fine in the clamp until you're ready to shoot. My hunting method is to find a spot and stay...

    What's on your airgun wishlist?

I like what someone else posted, pellet availability to sort itself out. Other than that: Daystate Red Wolf HP .22 with walnut stock Air Arms S510 Ultimate Sporter .22 also with walnut stock I think my "collection" will be complete after those two. Then again...

Reccomendations and considerations for first high quality air rifle

I agree. I got in the game for about $600 with an Urban, a pump, and a scope. I have spent way way more since then, but you can get in the game for and enjoy it at his budget, he just needs to be realistic in his expectations.

Tuning Brocock Sniper XR Magnum owners chime in please

The reg is set at 160 bar. I might have some 25.39 redesigns coming next week so I'm not going to adjust anything until they arrive. Goal is to shoot them at least 880 fps, 900 fps would be ideal and meet what is advertised. I was surprised there were 4 power settings as sales text lists 3 on...

Tuning Brocock Sniper XR Magnum owners chime in please

So last week I got my new Brocock Sniper Magnum and am curious what other owners are seeing for power on highest setting. I am getting only high 40 fpe to low 42 fpe depending on pellet/slug weight. The rifle is advertised as making "up to 46 fpe" and the few reviews I have seen online seem to...

Looking to buy first PCP rifle

Search the classifieds and you might get lucky. I was able to buy a used S510 for $800. It's a 2014 model and had a regulator installed at some point in it's life. I like it enough that I am considering a new S510 Ultimate Sporter since it has a few upgrades since the older model. Mine shoots...

What did you replace your Daystate Huntsman Regal for?

I have a .22 Revere and love it. I haven't replaced any of my rifles, only added more. I'm up to 6 now. The Revere is light, accurate, and pretty dependable. As someone else said it flat loves the Hades pellets. Mine shoots them at about 865 fps and makes about 27 fpe. They are advertised at up...

Back yard shooters, range shooters or back woods shooters?

Backyard for me. I am lucky enough to have 3 acres, and am surrounded by woods and farm land. Neighbors are far enough away that they likely never even hear me shooting and probably wouldn't care if they did. As much gunfire as I hear coming from neighbor properties you would think a small war...
