FX manners stock for my drs? dont mind if i do!

First, Altaros slugs are designed to shoot right at 890-900fps. Second, DRS pro max out right around 900fps with those 50 grain Altaros. Try 160 and gradually turn up the hammer to it hits the power sweet spot for 900fps. You likely have too much hammer.

What reg pressure are you using? DRS pro has the tungsten hammer so your reg needs to be around 160-170b.

FX Whats the point of the FX Impact Compact?

145b is a sweet spot for factory hammer with about the most power we can get out of impact. With higher reg and heavy hammer I can easily get over 1000fps with the 22 grain slugs. It does not necessary use more air, it does reduce the delta between your fill pressure and reg pressure but you...

FX FX King/Dynamic/Panthera Saber Tactical chassis weight

Yes, it is personal preference. I personally think crown is also long even with 500mm barrel, my crown has the Dreamline 300mm barrel. Plus having my hunting impact compact at 29 inches total length spoiled me.😅 The reason I like the DRS is because I don’t need to worry about bumping the barrel...

FX Whats the point of the FX Impact Compact?

My compact is using home made 4 inch moderator and it’s more than quiet enough. It’s is 22 cal shooting 22g slugs at 940fps with reg at 160b because I’m too lazy to take out the tungsten hammer. 25 cal is louder just because opening is bigger, but I would try higher reg pressure like around...

    2025 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Yes, top 10 is something we all can dream about. But it’s his own fault for setting the bar so high by winning last year and maybe the year before! Your theory of his wife also competing distracted him is a solid one though!🤣

FX FX King/Dynamic/Panthera Saber Tactical chassis weight

FX markets every gun they sell as a hunting platform!!! Obviously the devil is in the details and the 500mm factory version is ok/fine for hunting. But the 600 or 700mm versions are broom sticks! Add chassis and weight it can easily get over 12-13lbs! IMHO FX impact is still the best hunting...

For Cameron to only be 11th in springer class, something must of gone wrong. Still great shooting we we expected more from Cameron!😅

FX Whats the point of the FX Impact Compact?

For me impact compact is the best configuration! Short, light and every bit as good as standard or long impacts unless you want to shoot really heavy ammo for whatever reason. So good is the compact, all three of my impacts are now in compact form or some kind.

Daystate Long range with Daystate Red Wolf GP .177 HP 😃🎯

Hold my beer! 🤣 For groups please try shooting paper, preferably heavier stock paper so the holes are nice and clean. The paint chips makes the groups look way larger than the numbers .

FX FX King/Dynamic/Panthera Saber Tactical chassis weight

Weight/heavy is relative or depends on what’s heavy for you but I personally find dynamic with even just some add-ons is too long and heavy for hunting that requires carrying, walking or quick repositioning of the gun.

Skout Skout Evo. 170 yards 25 cal

What’s the group size? 34.9g NSA 25 cal slugs have BC of 0.11 so at 170 yards 4.5 inch target is a give me unless super windy and 2 inch groups in calm conditions is expected. Although they will start to open up after 200 yards with that BC unless you are wind whisperer.

    FX Flimsy fx impact barrel

I 100% agree on epoxy the liner sleeve on but that’s where I stop as there is very little if any additional gain after. Flexy or not if it shoots then who cares? If properly tuned there should not be fliers, 50 yard zero group size of 2 slugs wide is very standard and achievable with the right...

FX Panthera vs DRS Pro MDT

You shoot what you got! Good shooter can adjust to less ideal situations better. No one said Panthera is bad, my dynamic is still my long range bench gun that my DRS Pro will not be….not that it can’t. This thread is about which setup is better or has advantages. Maybe when that picture was...

FX Panthera vs DRS Pro MDT

There is also butt pad height adjustment, not that important on the bench or more static shooting positions but for dynamic shooting positions like switching from prone or lower to tripod/higher barricade positions would make a pretty big difference. Pad angle adjustment is a very nice but not...

FX Panthera vs DRS Pro MDT

If you want to be competitive at shooting events especially when shooting positions change between shots then a fix stock is NOT ideal, getting ergo dialed in(sometimes on the fly) is imperative! This is why a fully adjustable stock with adjustable cheek rest, LOP and pad position all contribute...

FX Panthera vs DRS Pro MDT

Some how I ended up with both, don’t do PRS but I think overall the DRS Pro has slight edge. Biggest thing is always ergonomics, not having an air bottle to get in the way is a big plus even at the expense of lower shot count. Upgrade to carbon air tube and shot count isn’t bad at all. DRS pro...

The SPREAD = parallax wheels comparison

Lowly Element Helix 6-24 is at 270 degrees, most I have seen on any normal scope. Sightron S6 supposed to have over 300 degrees from 10-55 yards but doesn't go beyond that.
