I found a mint condition 79G at a garage sale for a buck. the owner said it was just would NOT hold air. Purchased the seals on line and after about 5 attempts of assembly it's done! I re-built (made on a lathe)the original Derlin seal in the brass valve. Perfect, been holding gas for weeks...

FYI the depinger I put in was a baby bottle brush, let a little piece of sponge on the as it was wound on...it started to break down and shoot out with the pellet. uck. Removed it and cleaned it up it's fine now.

Thank you to everyone for the information. Going the carpeting route in a 2'x3'x12" deep box. 2 layers of 3/4" plywood at the back and 1/2" foam rubber floor matt for the face for weather protection. So far excellent! pretty quiet too.

I've been watching some you-tube about de-pinging using a baby bottle brush, and was wondering I can do that to the removable air tube on mine. I unscrewed the tube but it lacks the flats needed to use a spanner to unscrew it. Am I missing something? Thanks for any direction.
