Were the batteries you previously used alkaline? If so, you may want to check for the dreaded corroded terminals. If you find corrosion on the terminals, it’ll prevent appropriate connection with the new batteries. You can remove the corrosion with a q-tip and vinegar. I hope that helps! BTW...

Just for an update, I actually ordered an Arken scope this week and ended up going with the high rings as I didn’t think I needed the additional 20MOA cant of the one-piece mount they offer and was nervous that the medium rings were too low for my big head. I’m excited to mount it and sight it in!
