FX airguns from Ebay are now on Gunbroker

If the airguns in question belong to FX Sweden and/or haven't been paid for, then selling them is an act of fraud. Whether or not the buyer is aware of the law suit, buying one puts the buyer in a rather awkward position. Speaking only for myself, I would be leery in buying one.

Does anyone know user Tan_k ?

It isn't just here! "Scamery" (I'll take ownership of that coined word!) is so prevalent, it is literally ubiquitous! Fact is, the term 'Buyer beware' should be applied universally to any purchase, by any means. Maybe our colleges should offer classes in anti-scamery retaliation!

    N/A Demand fair treatment!

No one mentioned specifically the material the o-ring is made of. As we all know, this is an oft overlooked aspect, which can lead to frustration when a new o-ring won't "o-ring"!

Slug lube question... yeah, yeah I know...

Personal opinion. As stated, silicon oil (or any other oil) is not a good pressure lubricant. Dust and other debris tend to stick to oils as well. Danzac® is one commercial name for Tungsten Disulfide. It is easier to apply than moly, but a bit messier. It works well, and you gain a few FPS...

New FX Outdoors True Ballistic Chronograph - Shipping Now

There are no "various" versions. Whether you select yards or meters for example, the calculations required are handled in the firmware. The question remains, is it accurate in its readings? The readout is no more than ± one digit with the Labradar. They don't play well together, but ten shot...

New FX Outdoors True Ballistic Chronograph - Shipping Now

Remember, no one has released a viable slug or pellet ballistic profile. The RA4 is close for slugs, but no cigar.

Admissions of a High-Magnification Scope Fanatic

There is another way to conquer this issue. First, a fixed aperture attached to the scope's sunshield will improve the depth of focus, with a minimal amount of darkening of the image. This makes the "focus" much less critical. And obvious for this type of work, is an FFP scope.

    Thermal shifting while ranging

What you really need to know, is the basic BC at the ambient conditions at the time. Knowing that, is the whole nine yards. This is why the FX TBC makes a lot of sense. Yes it is expensive, but so if FT meets in general.

New FX Outdoors True Ballistic Chronograph - Shipping Now

I would tend to believe the FX (or Labradar), rather than any optical unit. I say this, because I don't know what the oscillator specs are in either unit. This said, the FX most assuredly uses a temperature-compensated, crystal-based oscillator, and any frequency variation would be rather small...

New FX Outdoors True Ballistic Chronograph - Shipping Now

The "distances" it reads out are the ones you select during the setup routine. It is actually tracking the projectiles all along their path, however. At this writing, the data stream from the TBC is not read by the FX app. As I've stated previously, that will change, with only the release date...

New FX Outdoors True Ballistic Chronograph - Shipping Now

As the manual states, it calculates the "Basic BC" based on the actual conditions. That is to say, if the temp goes up, the air is thinner, and the BC goes up too. If we assume we use the data to predict a specific BC for a sub-sonic pellet or slug, then we can establish it as the published...

New FX Outdoors True Ballistic Chronograph - Shipping Now

My take is, no. Yes, you can change the frequencies in 8MHz steps. Whether that is enough spacing, remains to be seen. And considering the cost of these units, only serious airgunners are going to buy them, thus limiting their numbers. Perhaps at the next Rocky Mountain shoot, we might get the...

New FX Outdoors True Ballistic Chronograph - Shipping Now

I'm following this thread with some interest, as I have the new TBC as well. It does have several drawbacks, which should be fixed in the next few weeks, hopefully! The data stream out of the unit, does report all of the data you see on the TBC screen, including the various velocities at the...

What ever became of the fancy new FX ammo?

The argument reminds me of the late WWII era, when all sorts of new aircraft engines were being developed. Only to be superseded by more modern jet engines. The other reason for lack of pellet refinement, has more to do with rifling twists than design. In the FX scenario, all that is needed is...

When the gun come out so do Otis.

Having birds of pray show up, shouldn't surprise anyone who regularly hunts varmints. Fact is, if you hunt the same areas most of the time, it is very common. Here in SE New Mexico, we see lot of ferruginous hawks who do the same as "Otis". Birds in general, have the ability to recognize...

    FX pressure gauge

They break! Call your dealer (preferred) or FX directly. I've replaced all of my Impact gauges with digital ones. If you try to replace the one indicating bottle pressure, you'll have to remove 2 mm off the threads. Easy to do if you have the tools. Why replace them? They have better accuracy...
