I have never liked the traditional bullpup rear cocking lever placement. The new placement ambidextrous design is an incredible improvement. I wonder if they have improved the FPS and FPE on this new model. Can't wait to see real numbers in the .22 in these areas.
I am really impressed with the accuracy and size of this gun. My girlfriend is looking for a hunting gun like this. I feel this will fit the bill perfectly. I think it's a winner.
UTG OR NOT TO UTG ? That is the question. Since I just pulled the trigger on an Athlon 6-24x50. I will be needing rings for it (30mm). Mounting it on a Hatsan Gladius. Will they clear/fit that combination weaver/ dovetail rail on top ? Yes or no. It has a high mounting rail so I'm only looking...
After looking exhaustingly at the Barra pdf downloads, has anyone purchased any of the other sights. Two were very interesting. Illuminated mill and another illuminated one ? Can someone comment on either of these ?
The next time I find an Alpha 6 on sale, I'll pull the trigger. If just to have it around for comparison. I don't like the reticles. If I find a orphan Barra, I'll do the same. You did say the Barra was better than the Alpha 6 ?
On two of your previous recommendations. AIM Sports and the Barra. I was so damn tempted to pull the trigger. I am an optical clarity snob as well. Especially since the eyes are now going bad. I had 20-15 vision when I was younger. Now being driven nut with age. Never can seem to get enough...
To those of you that have an Athlon 6-24. What reticle you prefer ? The big question and debate of MOA vs Mil.. I like the small circle crosshair on the MOA. Since the scope won't be clicked that much. I will be using the reticle for what it was designed for. Any thoughts ?
I have purchased a few scopes. Trying to do an "Odyle". Trying to find that diamond in the rough. But maybe I should have written a review. But they were so bad I could have summed them up with one word. "JUNK". Sent them back or gave them away to kids in the neighborhood.
