I just bought and returned an Ares. I liked the scope but there was very noticeable darkening of the image beyond 15x and a somewhat tight eye box compared to some others. I can live with those small issues at that price point but what sealed the deal for me was a tracking issue out of the box...

I have the same scope coming in Tuesday. I'm very interested to hear your thoughts! I was on the fence about it for a while but the sale at Midway for $425 pushed me over the edge. Mine will be replacing a swfa 3-15 x 42 ffp. 

SWFA. I have that same scope and have no complaints. I actually like it better than my vortex which was twice the price.
