EDgun Got my Leshiy back, .22 or .25?

I wouldn't turn up HST then, only down.

Make sure you don't go above the first velocity peak. Have you figured that out yet? Once you do, I would recommend getting not going above approximately 95% to 97% of that. You can try short dwell tunes below 95% but don't try to increase power by going above.

EDgun Got my Leshiy back, .22 or .25?

I looked up an old .22/250mm tune. Huma reg at 95 bar. 240 bar fill. I got 25 shots averaging 720 FPS with the JSB 18.1 grain. I'm sure a few or more of these shots were off the regulator. I do not have that recorded. In .22 too much higher than this & I found the short barreled Leshiy...

EDgun Got my Leshiy back, .22 or .25?

Hit reply to soon. Also want to comment that I believe you can achieve your goals with either caliber. If you prefer the trajectory, cost, accuracy, etc of one them, I think you can get over 15 shots. But comparing both calibers with a 95% of FVP tune at around 24 FPE, I find .25 to have a more...

EDgun Got my Leshiy back, .22 or .25?

I'm guessing the HP designation is to distinguish it from the shorter valve stem uses in the sub-12 kit. For a Leshiy Classic & a high shot count tune I prefer .25. Something about the size of the transfer port allows a lower reg and/or HST setting in 0.25. With a lighter pellet you can tune...

    Whistle Pig

I didn't know they made a bourbon. I've had a few of their rye whiskeys. All were good or even better than good. If you're going to shoot one of these I recommend waiting until they shed their coats & turn clear.

    LPVOs mini quest

Another (occasionally) inexpensive LPVO with a large exit pupil is the Sightmark Pinnacle 1-6x24. It has a listed exit pupil of 24mm at 1x. I put occasionally in quotes as it often goes on sale for well below $400 & refurbished ones below $300. And when they do go on sale it often lasts for...

    Primary Arms prism scope

I have shot the 1x SLX Micro & 2X GLX inside of 14 yards at home. I don't believe I noticed any parallax error but the 2x was a bit out of focus when shooting indoors at or inside 14 yards. Both of these optics have forgiving eye relief & were usable when mounted well forward of the listed ER...

Foot Lbs verses roof damage ?s

I just checked local dealer & fiberglass panels weren't very expensive & small enough to be easily transported. But I'd want to be sure it was the same product. Since it's a new roof hopefully it will be easy to find out what was used.

Foot Lbs verses roof damage ?s

On steel, yes. Smaller calibers are more likely to crack or punch through light gauge steel roofing than larger calibers. I would assume the same on fiberglass but really don't know. A wadcutter should be even better but groups tend to open up over 30 yards. And then there is the issue you have...

Modifying West Hinter hight adjustable rings to MOA rings

Did a quick search on my phone & AGN Member @cosmic mentioned filing them down in at least two threads. A few years ago so hopefully he responds with some long term usage results.

I'll see what I can find. Prefer to do those searches on my laptop. Should have time later. But if you didn't find anything I doubt I will either.

    HW/Weihrauch Ring modification

If one needs a low scope height I recall the lowest option was the Burris Signature adjustable rings with the clip in dovetail to picatinny adapters. If the recoil of a springer with those adapters is a concern the next lowest option is a dovetail to picatinny adapter from Eagle Vision. Again...

Modifying West Hinter hight adjustable rings to MOA rings

I believe someone has filed the teeth on the West Hunter picatinny rings. Assuming the height indexing teeth are the same it might be worth looking for previous discussions. I've been meaning to search for that since I saw this thread this morning but I haven't had the chance.

I'll do my own pesting thank you...

I'm on my phone & don't have my reading glasses but I do feel that the size of the button & the proportions of the snake make it hard to tell how big it is. Rattlesnakes can lose segments of their rattles & there is thought to be a genetic mutation where some don't develop them at all. I do...

    FX Impact scope picatinny base?

Hopefully that will work. But it's not what I meant by riser. What I'm talking about is something that clamps onto the current picatinny rail of your 308. It will raise the height by 1/2" minimum and cancel out the 20 MOA of your current rail when installed backwards. Far from an elegant...
