    Less than lethal?

Picking your battles is tough. If you have the run of the mill careless asshole neighbors you may act one way. If you have the full blown batpoop crazy and unpredictable ones, you may act another.

    Less than lethal?

I think all states have laws that give more protection to the landowner and their livelihood. You have the right to protect your livestock with force up to and including lethal force on the attacking animal. So slingshots, airguns, paintballs, rocks, 12ga are all allowed. Different states will...

    Less than lethal?

I would play the three strikes game with them. 1. A verbal reprimand. 2. A financial penalty (Shoot the dog in the ass with a pellet gun. No permanent damage to the dog, but a costly vet bill.) 3. No more games....308 for a fast retirement.

new HEAVY WADCUTTER ⬛ HEAVY HITTER

That's how the projectile market works. When I weight and design is known to shoot well in a certain caliber almost all the manufactures will offer it. For example, let's look at 9X19 Luger. Almost every bullet manufacturer offers 115gr FMJ and 124gr FMJ because it is a proven performer...hell...

Another FX Hybrid Slug Recovered After Passthrough

The .35 are tempting me, but I doubt I can keep them subsonic even with the spring on my Texan under minimum tension. The 81gr pellets are at about 1050fps.

Uh-Oh, Here Comes Trouble! FX Hybrid Slugs in .357 cal

What's the twist in your barrel?

    PBBA .457 slugs

I would look for some soft cast 45-70 bullets. There should be plenty of guys out there that can size them to .458

First range trip with the new Bulldog

Looking good so far, at least you have one projectile that is respectable right off the bat. I saw you ordered the 145 grain GT bullet, did you get the RN or the SWC design? The wadcutters and semiwadcutters are the only thing that I would call very accurate in my Texan right now.

Has anyone tried Gamo Blue Bombers .22 cal. Poly Mag copy?

I've found in .22 that the H&N Hunters do every bit as good as Polymags for half the price. I fling em at over 900fps so the Polymags might have an edge at lowers speeds that I never cared to test.

    .454 slugs in .457 Texan

That sounds like something I might be interested in. I remember the first long day at the range with my Texan, I left with a bloodblister on my thumb trying to seat full wadcutters in the chamber. That might fix my Micheal Jackson range issue, having to wear a glove on my loading hand.

    Hatsan Bullboss

If I didn't luck out and get a shooter I would have ditched my Bullboss years ago. I can't get rid of a sub MOA gun..just cant. Other than it does make good power and can be accurate, is all I can say good about it. Side lever works as intended, but is a sloppy janky rig. The gun shipped with...

    .454 slugs in .457 Texan

I think 45-70 bullets might work well for airguns as well. They usually come in .459 probably wouldn't be hard to find a few guys that can size to .458 or .457

25 caliber Marauder pellet recommendations for Groundhogs?

I have been sending these 145 grainers from my Texan at around 920 FPS. They do make up for less than optimal shot placement. Like I said, when I see a groundhog I'm in a hurry to get a shot off. I took a shot at a front facing one, made a horrible shot and hit him in the front leg. There was...

25 caliber Marauder pellet recommendations for Groundhogs?

Groundhogs are so damn skittish and waiting for a good headshot can mean an escaped garden raider. A good .357 hollow point will allow you to quickly line up the shoulder shot and let loose. Even if the shot isn't perfect there is no way he is going very far with a quarter sized exit hole in...

What is a good sling setup for the Texan.

Wondering what is available that doesn't require any drilling and tapping.

    Devastating, lightweight .357 bullet.

I have been shooting a variety of hangun bullets from my 357 Texan and have found the full and semiwadcutters to be the most accurate. My gun loves the button nose 148 grainer as well. Matt's looks like another great place to get some good big bore pills.

    Primary Arms,always wanted one.

I have been using the 4x16 illuminated mildot for about a year. The glass is above what I expected at the price point. The tactical turrets track well, but there is a lil bit of slop in them. The added zero stop is a nice feature as well. All in all I am happy with it's perfromance for a $150 scope.

Pitbull AKC at 100 yards and 50 yards at the range

He offers his bullets as cast, sized, and sized and lubed. Sized and lubed is run through a lubasizer with the lube groove filled with solid wax based lube. It wont do much in an airgun since there is no heat to melt it. He uses lanolin for his sized only bullets. There will be a light coating...

Pitbull AKC at 100 yards and 50 yards at the range

This .357 ammo thing seems to be popping up a lot lately. Finding the right pill can be costly if you are only looking at the "Airgun" dealers. I'm gonna put in another plug for GT bullets. This isn't a ***** thing, I just think they offer a good product at a fair price. GT 160 grain HP- $66...
