    Cutting a 700mm slug liner to 600mm

You read my mind. I bought my Crown Cont. with a 700mm slug liner last year, but really never enjoyed it because of the extremely high reg pressures I had to use. Now I have the Impact coming with the standard 600mm barrel system and was going to shorten that sucker down the extra 10cm and give...

    Lead free pellets recommendations?

H&N Greens shoot better on my Crown .22, followed by the GTO's. Really depends on your setup (speed, pressure, harmonics, etc.)

Crown Continuum Velocities close to each other

Could it be that your short barrel is maxing out velocity regardless of HST. A quick test would tell you if you are seeing the same issue if you switched to your 700mm barrel and repeat the test.

    FX Crown Tuning Contradiction Questions

Back to basics: Start off with the hammer spring tension at the highest setting, meaning that you can just rotate the power knob lobe past the setscrew. Then take a few shots over the chrony and turn the setscrew CCW maybe 2 x 1/4 turn and repeat the chrony measurement. Repeat this as you take...

    FX Crown Tuning Contradiction Questions

One extra piece of advice while fine tuning the HST is to give the regulator time to recharge to the expected pressure. If you have a setup that allows to shoot pellet upon pellet than you might get some inconsistencies from not allowing the regulator to recharge fully.

    Bullpup recommendations below $600

Well, pulled the trigger on a refurbished Kral Knight S. Should be here next week sometime. With tax it pushed me just over 600, but no big deal. I'll keep you guys posted how it goes once I get it 😁

    Bullpup recommendations below $600

Cool, I am leaning more and more towards the Kral. I finally found Troy's complete tear-down video and everything he explains now makes sense. Everything he shows I understand why he's making change to it. This is a great project gun that I can put some time into it and make mods to improve...

    Bullpup recommendations below $600

Mike, TNT, I have a shop at work I can use to do some mods there. I can even make parts if needed out of several different types of SS, Alu, Brass, plastics, Peek, PVC, Teflon, etc. - lol, it's been a few years I touched a lathe or mill, but what you learn you never forget, just need a little...

    Bullpup recommendations below $600

OK. So far my research led me off to another forum where lots of folks complained about the non-communication with Troy at the beginning of the year, to the point that some were waiting months on products they had paid for. I can't find anything recent and I have been on the Annihilator website...

    FX Chrono or Labradar

Well if cost is not an issue than the Lapradar is the right choice. It does velocity measurements at multiple distances and also allows you to calculate BC. The FX is accurate if setup correctly but lacks the features of knowing what the pellet does down range.

    Bullpup recommendations below $600

All, thank you. Great feedback and recommendations. Is there a second hand market for the Kral so I could get the tuning done to it and still stay within the budget. Otherwise I'll look out for a sale since TG is right around the corner, who knows. I'll dig in with some research on the Troy...

    Bullpup recommendations below $600

The reason I was cautious about the KP was the reviews on PA were not very favorable. Glad to hear that I may put this back on the list.

    Bullpup recommendations below $600

The weight was a concern with the BullBoss. My primary use was going to be off hand shooting pests like wood rats, but I am worried that I would tire out too quick. Does it shoot 1-1.5in groups out of the box or is that with some modding?

    Ideal ES for shot count

Really depends on multiple factors... for example: The BC has an effect on the drop, lower BC with same ES will have higher drop. Starting FPS will also have an even bigger impact, meaning if you start off at 900FPS down to 850 VS starting at 800 down to 750. Just some real examples...

    Bullpup recommendations below $600

Guys, I love my FX Crown Cont. but would like to follow up my second PCP purchase to be something much shorter with still decent accuracy and power in the 32+ft/lb range in .22. The one gun I am eyeballing so for is the Hatsan Flashpup or perhaps the BullBoss (seems a bit on the heavy side)...

    Chronograph/App/Range Finder Recommendations

One additional reference I would like to add is the use of the app 'Range Buddy' (this is Android, but I am sure this app exists in iOS as well). The app is free on Android and lets you take a picture of the target and your shot group, then through linear approximation allows you to measure your...

How to fit FX chronograph to the barrel ?

Flip the two tangs out and use a very long rubber band and attach it directly to the barrel. No cost at all and in my case works very well. Make sure the alignment is good the face of the chrono is perpendicular to the pellet trajectory and play around a bit how far back the chrono needs to sit...

    FX Chronograph-What’s the verdict!?

Initially I was also not happy with the results. I used a tripod approach as the MFG suggests and it was just not repeatable. Then I tried the rubber band and attached it directly to the barrel and all those concerns were gone. The setup is now very repeatable and I rarely get a 'no read' shot...

    FX MK2 Chronograph ?

My experience is that the FX chrono measurement range is very short. During my Crown tuning I had my back stop set only 4 feet away from the muzzle and the chrono read the FPS without an issue which means that it must measure the velocity within less the distance of the 4 feet. I also confirmed...

    Crown Continium 380mm barrel

I shot my .22 Crown Continuum with the 380mm barrel and liner out to 45yards only (longest range I can shoot on my property without getting in touble). At that distance I can achieve 0.3in groups easily with the JSB 18.13gr. and velocity at about 830FPS and the regulator set to about 125BAR...
