    Who really needs 15y parallax?

My indoor basement range is 10meters so 10.9 yards. I can do more target shooting there than outside. My eyes suck. I purposely only purchase scopes that will focus down to 10 yards so I can plink when I want. When I go outside to shoot longer distance, turn up the side focus wheel to what is...

Athlon Optics. Finaly we have more scope options. Including close focus and FFP.

Received my first Athlon BTR 6-24x50 APMR mil scope and during inspection before mounting it found a bit of debris on the reticle in a bad spot. Visible around the 3mil holdover at 6x but not visibile above 18x. Called Sportsgear Optics, discussed and we all agreed it would be best to send it...

    Prod and polymags

Same results as yours with the boxed premiers. It's within Minute Of Marmot for 40 yards. I will give the polymags a try. Mine shoots the the metalmags decent but I have had some tip separation on a few. The pointy metal tip snags somewhere, you then get 2 flier holes. One from the pellet and...

    GAMO Air Rifles

For a good deal on a Daisy 853 target rifle, the CMP is selling refurbished ones in your price range. What better to target practice with than an actual competition target rifle?

    crosman premier pellet cost.

As I understand it, the cardboard box pellets are more uniform and consistent compared to the metal tin or milk carton.

    Any Airgunners in East Tn?

You have timing and luck. According to a coworker the Oak Ridge Sportsman Association is starting a bench rest shoot the first and 4th Saturday of the month at 10am at the indoor range. Supposedly anything goes, open sights, scope, just has to be .177 shooting at reduced 300 and 600 yard...

States with favorable air gun laws?

The TN Wildlife Resource Association is accepting input for 2016-2017 hunting regulations until Feb 15th according to their web page. https://www.tn.gov/twra/news/23478. Currently we can target shoot paper with whatever we want in a safe manner. Air riffle hunting is limited to small game with...

This might be a stupid question but.......

M5 is available in both coarse, .8mm and fine .5mm thread pitch. You might want to verify what you have and need. The old measure twice, cut once kind of thing. M5x.8 is more common but I've been screwed by hard to find fine pitch many times. (Pun intended)

What is your Backstop made of?

I took 2 kitty litter square plastic pails, cut old phone books to space up the bottom so half a bag of rubber mulch would fill each one, cut cardboard to fit inside the top lip, snapped the cover back on. Built in carry handles and won't roll like a round bucket. Only cost the $7ish for the...

More about HandPumps and moisture in your Guns

I'm using a Hill pump with the desicccant dryer in East TN. I've never seen any moisture when I open the bleed valve to remove the fill hose. However, I also only pump it in the house or garage where the air is less humid than out doors. Air-conditioning and/or dehumidifiers running in both...
