Anybody have any experience with the 500mm slug liners?

Thank you for this info!! Was there any trend toward greater accuracy with the lighter slugs?

Anybody have any experience with the 500mm slug liners?

I would appreciate if anybody could share anything regarding either .22 or .25 cal. Particularly shooting the lighter slugs (which I'm assuming are the only ones that would work) Thanks Karlo

Balanced valves ... A Home spun DIY version / #2 & #3 version added to thread

You answered all the questions I had, Thank you!! I will take the info and digest it again with all the above info then start to formulate a path for me to continue tinkering with my marauder (what I bought it for) The second valve you posted has seriously inspired me to take my valve and...

    Airgun Therapy

Smacking small apples at 80yds this morning was surreal. they would explode and mist with the suns back lighting when shot. I am really glad I got a PCP as I have been shooting springers until now. Something about seeing and hearing the pellet travel along its flight path and smack those...

    MROD barrel band touching shroud

Its shooting great! I'm hitting a small 2" dia. apples at 80 yds consistently (no wind) I did shoot it while the barrel band was touching and the guns "circle of impact" was greater for sure. Karlo

    MROD barrel band touching shroud

The kicker is that with the factory O-ring in place in the barrel band the shroud does not touch it. It can float around about .075" in every direction. Quite brilliant really Karlo

    MROD barrel band touching shroud

Check my pic I posted above, the shroud was touching the band on the upper portion. If it was left or right I could have just re positioned the band. Although I would not be able to live with the barrel being off axis left or right with the scope center line. Karlo

    MROD barrel band touching shroud

The rear barrel bushing is indexed to the barrel via a set screw & flat spot so it can only be tightened in one position. Also I checked the rear bushing for concentricity and it was spot on!! I'm shocked! I only had to bend the crown end of the barrel down .070 to get it to clear the barrel...

    MROD barrel band touching shroud

Not sure if your familiar with the marauder (see my pic posted above) but it has a barrel band that isn't touching the barrel so it can free float but still be there in case the barrel is deflected excessively. To be honest I think this is the best kind of barrel band design out there... best...

    MROD barrel band touching shroud

OK that did it!! I removed the shroud and front bushing and carefully bent downwards along the length of the barrel using calipers to measure my progress. I couldn't bend it enough to center the shroud vertically but enough so that its not touching or even close to touching the barrel band...
