Best scope for PRS & NRL22

Running NF 4-32 NX8 on my RimX for 22 matches and either NF 7-35 ATACR or March FX 5-42 for PRS-style matches (the extra magnification with the March is not optimal for PRS, but I also shoot long range matches with that gun). The older your eyes get, the more you appreciate the higher end...

Large bore that can accept normal pistol bullets and shoot all copper

I think that at the pressures in a PCP airgun, you would need to use a sabot for solid copper rounds. There are sabot rounds for black powder that might work, but they are larger calibers (40 or 45 caliber).

Wild Turkey Hunting - Ammo Feedback

To answer the original question, I have used JSB pellets in .22, .25 and .30 to take turkey. For a broader answer, i would say use whatever gives you the best accuracy. It only takes a few ft/lbs of energy to kill a turkey if you hit the head or neck. If you have a pellet that will let you do...

Question about Edgun Matador R5M Cal .25

Neither pellet will wear the gun any faster. The limit on weight is more about what the regulator will support, and what trade-offs you are willing to make for weight v. speed. I haven't had my R3 out for quite a while, but IIRC, you should be o.k. with anything that fits in the magazine. You...

    Night shooting in California

With very limited exceptions, night hunting is not allowed in California. The biggest exception to this is if you can get a depredation permit to eliminate pests on your property.

Turkey hunting with the big bore

If you hit head or neck it only takes a few foot lbs of energy to drop a turkey. Body shots are dicey, because the feathers and bones can absorb/deflect pretty effectively. Based on my own experience, I would say going to big bore will only help in very limited circumstances.

    EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

I'm pretty sure what Edgun calls the magnet is the cover plate. The early models had a magnet/cover plate that was the same size as the magazine, and they were difficult to remove unless you used a separate magnet to grip them to pull them off. Later magnet/cover plates are slightly larger and...

I was happy to see the pre-orders are available to ship. I was not happy that the only shipping option available was FedEx Ground at $25, kind of felt like a gouge, plus FedEx in my area has been the worst shipping option by far.

    Compressor recommendation for light-moderate use

It’s pretty old, I got it in the 2nd wave when they first came out, with the mechanical shut-off and noisy chain drive. I have orings etc to rebuild the pistons and have done that a few times, but this time something seized up. At first, I thought that something had come loose and the drive...

    Compressor recommendation for light-moderate use

My old Shoebox finally died, so I am in the market for a new PCP compressor. I do not shoot high volumes. I have Guppy tank that I take with me when I am out, and a scuba size tank that I keep at home. I fill them maybe 3 times a year for the Guppy and once or twice a year for the larger tank...

    Does this constitute a "pest"?

I had an ATV in a shed last year that I had to have serviced because mice had adopted it as a home, chewed a bunch of stuff and filled the interior areas with acorns. The service guys thought it was hilarious, they gave me a big box of the acorns they pulled out off it.

    EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

I don't really care about the brand, what I was most interested in was whether it was choked or not. You are right, I can figure that out on my own with a little effort. It also wasn't clear to me that the Valkyrie barrels were from the same source, sounds like they are. It shoots pellets...

    EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

All this barrel talk has me wondering: I got a 450mm barrel with a Valkyrie kit. Who made that barrel, what is the twist rate, and is it choked? So far, I have only shot JSB pellets with it, but I just got some slugs to try . . .

How do you reduce the bark of your Leshiy 2 ??

I've got a STO FalX (a shorter version of the Sarissa) and I think it works great.

Shoebox not going past 1,100 PSI? ***8/1 UPDATE***

That is what happens to mine when one of the orings on the high pressure cylinder starts to leak. I would look for a problem there, maybe a ding in the oring, some foreign material or maybe something else interefering with the seals

    EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

I see that the listings for the Leshiy 2 models on Edgun West now show a 1 lb trigger pull specification. I have one of the earlier ones, and the trigger pull is a lot more than that. Does anyone know what it would take to do an adjustment to get it to the 1 to 1.5 lb range?

How to distinguish between a male Wood Pigeon and a female one?

In California, it depends on how they self identify. And you are not supposed to ask directly, but you can ask politely which pronouns they prefer for you to use.

PCP slug vs Rimfire - are we there yet?

I have a fast twist barrel on order, hoping it will come next month. Supposedly Manson has reamer prints for chambers designed for the CURx bullets. I have been working with the 32gn bullet because I can use it for hunting (and the commercial non-lead 22 ammo is garbage).
