Any Opinions On The HW 57?

I like my HW 57 very much. Great spring gun to get new shooters started on since they can cock the gun returning the cocking lever to its retention spot, then load the pellet and no worry about holding the cocking lever while loading. Mine has the typical accuracy of any other HW, the record...

    New Guy from Texas

Welcome to the forum ! i am here in East Texas also, Nacogdoches. Not a lot of us air guys here in the woods. My interest runs from .458 & .58 Quackinbush to vintage 10 meter rifles with a couple dozen of about every thing in between. Mostly hooked on Field Target. Hairsmith

    What got you into Airguns

They sling a projectile toward an object i have chosen, I like any thing that will do that ! Always have guess always will. Have enjoyed air power projectile pitchers for most of my life, but got much more involved with them when I was unable to replenish my reloading supplies during the...

    TX200 Kits

On one of my TX200's (yes I have to many, or at least some people would think so) When it came to me it had a 12FP kit already installed. It is a very nice kit, fitted guide rod, very nicely polished spring ends, bearing washers. The gun was just a touch over 12FP with AA 8.4. I installed a...

    D430L

Great shooting and fantastic groups !!! From your questions about the AA TX200HC in your other thread, Start shooting groups from Hunter FT position. Setting on a bucket or short stool, with crotch sticks or bipod of sorts, and turn the scope down to 16x. 20-35 yds is a great zero point since...

    TX200 HC

The TX200 platform works great for FT. I tend to recommend .177 for the flatter trajectory and getting the pellets through the smaller kill zones. The TX200HC is plenty accurate for FT but the shorter cocking handle on them is something to consider as a 60 round course it can tend to wear some...

    Old man rifle

The FWB300's what ever fashion is a fantastic gun, The one I own is a FWB150 which is the predecessor to the 300's The HW30 / R7 is also a great choice have one of each of them. But to help muddy the water for the dollars you looking to invest you could also get into a FWB124. They make a...

What will help you decide to participate in FT matches? Ideas?

My line of thinking is in line with what has been stated by thomasair.... I believe there would be much more danger of catching any bug by stoping at a Buckies (Y'all not in Texas think of a 100+ gas pump truck stop where 18 wheelers are not allowed) On the way to a match. Than being at a FT...

Effect of prolonged target practice on backyard lawn?

Guys,,, You do realize led comes out of the ground it is not a man made chemical. I have been inside underground led mines, it was not thousand of feet deep, maybe 20-30 feet deep.On the back side of a friends property was a location where Led was mined right on the surface of the ground in the...

With slow-down of spending, LET'S TRADE!

I have been worried that my traiding will be curtailed some this year if the airgun shows are cansled or rescheduled. Many times I don't know what I am looking for until I see it laying on someone's table. Have come across many of my favorite guns that way. i have made many good friends, and...

    Quackenbush Airguns, what’s the deal?

I have a few of Dennis's guns a .458 & .308 rifles, and .308 & .58 pistols. Had breakfast with him at the Malvern Ar. Gun show last year he said he was still selling every thing he makes, but he was not making as many as he use to. He is a old world machinist and vastly talented, he also loves...
