That's an older Vortek kit and seal. It predates when I started using them in 2016. The Vortek seals that size themselves are black.

I'd probably agree. IMO the 50 is about as close as you can get to an ideal springer, period. My preference is 177 because of my poor rangefinding skills. The 50 isn't my favorite springer but if i was only able to have one, that's it. Imo it's the best all around air rifle in the Weihrauch...
