    UPS

Well, I was at work last night. I plan on working tonight. And the rest of this week. And next week. I will be at work though the end of the month. So I'm thinking you either misread an article about a POTENTIAL strike or you saw a hub doing a run through of how a strike would look at the hub.

    UPS Strike?

I've worked at UPS for almost 23 years now. This same thing happens for every contract. (every 4-6 years) UPS presents their list of demands and the Union makes theirs. Both sides present ideas that are very far fetched/extreme. UPS says their list is valid because piece count is down. The...

    UPS stinks once again!

All the carriers have "act of god" causes in their shipping agreement. And hurricanes and the results that follow for a couple weeks fall within that cause. Do you really think they "knew the conditions" of a potential hurricane when they took the shipment? They took the package from another...

    UPS stinks once again!

I've been a UPS employee for 22 years. The company deals with MILLIONS of packages every day. Even smaller hubs deal with tens of thousands on an average night. And as they deal with hurricane conditions with roads shut down, businesses closed, homes abandoned, and frustrated residents, I have...

Price to fill an air tank.

$7 at a dive shop. Any size tank and any volume. I had a compressor, but when the o-rings started to fail, I found a fill was cheaper than the repair kit, so no more compressor. Of course, for me the shop is only a few minutes away.

Whats The Quietest PCP You Have Shot?

Of my Crown (.22), Mrod(.177), and Vet (.22), the Vet is quietest. Usually the impact on the rodent is the loudest noise.

UPS - no firearms shipping policy

Question... Would it be any different if you disassembled the rifle and shipped it in two boxes. If you were to remove the barrel and air tank (if it's a pcp), place those two "parts" in one box and place the stock and mechanics in another box? Could you legally say you were shipping "machined...

    Looking for New Hampshire airgunners

I'm in Derry. (just south of Manch) My wife needs to commute in sometimes. Not fun, but not the end of the world. Depends on the timing. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding some permissions in the surrounding towns. Plenty of medium sized farms.

    Air rifle cat/dog deterrent question

Just get a Daisy pump action from Wally-world and do some testing. 2 or 3 pumps will get your distance needs, provide reasonable accuracy, and doesn't do anything more than a leave a mark. (10 year old me knows it only stings and leaves a dime sized bruise) Even 1 pump gets some good...

    Tuning Taipan plenum extention mod?

I'm guessing that the engineers designed it like that for a reason. I'm sure the found the best combo of air volume and material strength. I wouldn't touch it. The potential consequences aren't worth the limited increases.

    Looking for New Hampshire airgunners

Welcome! I live in the southern part of the state. Lots of small farms around (dairy, chicken, crops). I was at one last fall and saw at least a half dozen good size rats near the turkey pens. I'm sure others are in the same boat. What area are you moving to?

    End of life twitching

This was number 21 in the last year. Up till now, all have been one and done head shots. Just a bit of twitching, which was usually done by the time I walked over to it. But this one wouldn't die! I thought the hammer to the head was similar to your "step on it's head", but it didn't work. ...

    End of life twitching

After a good shot to the head, most of the rabbits I have been taking have the end of the life twitch. I understand it. I'm used to it. But the other night I had an end of life squeek/yell/vocal. I put a clean shot from my Veteran .22 right through it's forhead, down the length of it's...

Tuning Custom shrouds and baffles for the Vet?

I'd also like to know. I need to replace two of my baffles but Taipan hasn't responded to my inquiry.

What's your magazine type preference and why?

I agree with the Taipan magazine. Easy to load pellets. Solid alum, no plexi to crack. No parts except an o-ring.

Beeman R7 .177 on the way

So after someone's post last week about wanting an R7, I finally broke down and bought one after months of debating. Fingers crossed that the FedEx estimate of Thursday holds true. Could you guys recommend an ammo that the rifle seems favor? Thanks!

    This place isn't very friendly?

I think it's also a seasonal thing. If people can't get out to shoot in the winter, they don't have their minds on the hobby and won't have much to share or discuss. I bet once spring comes around and people can get out to shoot, they will have more interest in discussions.
