Groups, some good, some bad, why? Also, first shots with JSB Hades!

I took the .25 Crown Continuum MKII out and shot some 50 and 75 yard groups with JSB Kings. As seen in the pics, the 50 yard groups look pretty good, a couple can be completely covered with a dime. Then it goes to 75 yards and they look like they seem to open up quite a bit more than I'd expect...

    Shooting table suggestions?

Hello, I only have a super rickety table to shoot from and sorely need to upgrade. Was looking at the Caldwell Stable Table and related products but then I saw a video of someone shooting from an impressive looking garage work bench. It looks way more significant than the Stable Table, etc...

Hump day group therapy, 10 shot groups

I saw a video someone posted here of a Steyr shooting really good groups at around 37 yards IIRC and punching paper is one of my favorite things so hey, I want to play too! I currently have a Caldwell Stinger gun rest inbound and plan to stretch out to 100 yards soon. I've never been able to...

Anyone have experience with this scope camera mount?

I enjoy shooting groups and would like to be able to video record the shooting so as to validate the results to share with everyone. Any experiences with this or other inexpensive but competent scopes mounts greatly appreciated. I'd love to have a sideshot but the $180 price tag for just a...

    Slug cost vs pellets

Hello, I'm sure there is a good reason but I was just curious if anyone knew why 100 count 26 grain FX hybrid slugs (made by JSB I'm guessing?) would be 16 cents per round and and 350 count 25 Grain JSB domed pellets would only be 5 cents per round, less than a third of the cost for roughly the...

New. 25 Crown Continuum MKII groups

7 years ago on 02/25/2014 (pics are time stamped) I shot the following four, 10 shot groups back to back from my first pcp ever, an FX Royale 500 at 50 yards, no wind. 40 shots, no flyers. I had no other experience with PCP's just thought that is how PCP's were. I sold the Royale 500 to try...

    Scope sun shades

Does anyone know if any generic 50mm sun shade will fit the Athlon Argos? I was kind of surprised to find it did not come with one in the box and the branded ones are $29 or something. Are all sun shade thread patterns the same? I can get one here on Ebay for $7 delivered.

Buy more glass than needed theory?

If I'm shopping for a budget scope, most reviewers online will say that the glass gets darker and less clear at the highest magnifications. Would it not then be prudent to purchase a higher magnification than needed so that you can use the magnification you wanted and not lose clarity? Example...

Tuning Crown Continuum MKII Tuning settings

Hey all, Started playing with the new Crown the other day, put the 700mm barrel on it and have been shooting the JSB 25 grain. I've watched all the Crown tuning vids 2 or 3 times and I feel like I have a pretty good idea of how to adjust the gun. That being said, I can't seem to find that sweet...

Tuning BSA R-10, New Huma regulator, hammer spring adjustment not affecting power

Title says a lot of it. Everything is back together, old faulty reg is out, new Huma reg is in. Gun holds air and fires just fine but is only slinging the lighter 15 grain JSB's between 765 and 770 fps. I've watched what I can find of video's on YouTube and I have made it this far but the last...

Awesome to see so many new guns, advancements, etc. I always knew I was coming back for a Crown one day...

    Poll: PCP's sold by manufacturer

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get a rough idea of PCP market share by manufacturer, mostly out of curiosity. If you have a few seconds and can help by replying to this thread and listing which guns you've purchased new from any manufacturer in the past 2 years it would be greatly appreciated...

Benefits of electronics in air rifles?

Hello AGN! I'm hoping to get some opinions / feedback about electronic guns. Being very candid, electronics on a gun have never appealed to me. That being said, I'm really trying see things from the other side of the fence. I'll list some items below that I would consider turn offs with...

Are there any PCP shooters that are unluckier than me?

I got into a discussion on one of the other forums and it got me to thinking. I wanted to start a seperate thread to poll others and hear some opinions. So here it is. I've been through quite a few PCP's, buying and selling over the last few years, most of them "high end". They include 2 Air...

PCP version of the 10 dimes challenge (posted by Oldspook)

OK OldSpook, I took the 10 dimes challenge, kind of. :-) I think you said shoot all ten dimes, five times each at 25 yards with a springer. I modified it a bit to stretch it out to 50 yards using a PCP. I like the challenge, it's pretty fun and it adds a new spin on shooting groups for me...

    Empirical evidence of groups.

I see a lot of us that enjoy target shooting and sharing the results here on the forums, to demonstrate how well our gun is shooting. However, I think a lot of people take these groups with a grain of salt and don't necessarily believe the results to be true. How many of you believe the groups...
